Chapter 5: His 'interest'

(NEXT DAY)

Leonardo opened his eyes slowly. And when he opened them he saw a white ceiling before his eyes. He then looks around the room he was in and realizes that he was in a hospital ward. He then tries to sit up but feels weak all over his body. His brain than started playing the memories from yesterday. He remembered that woman's attitude towards him and the way he was intrigued by her.

 He then tells with an intrigued smirk.

Leo: I must know more about her.

just then a nurse enters to check on him. Just when the nurse sees his breathtaking heavenly face, her eyes widens and her innerself gets excited. She then starts to act cute infront of him.

Nurse: your awake sir?(she says cutely being a little closer to his face with eyes which begged him to cup her face and kiss her)

Leo: I am, as you can see unless you're blind and cant see at all. And do keep your distance miss. If not I might have to resort to violence which I think you wouldn't want me to(he says in a dangerous, calm and deep voice without even looking at her)

After hearing him she quickly distant herself from him and her cute pretence also changed into a horrified expression. She bowed her head down in fear.

Nurse: S-so-sorry sir. Please forgive my recklessness.(she says being scared to the core)

Nurse: I would take my leave then.(she says still bowing her head down before turning to leave)

Leo: Wait.(he says in a deep, firm voice)

She stops and turns back to face him.

Leo: Where is the man who brought me here(he says coldly)

Nurse: he...(she was hesitating to whether tell him or not)

Leo: spit it out(he says with a cold voice and gaze which sent chills down her spine)

Nurse: He's out flirting with some nurses(she says quickly)

Leo: Call him in(he says with ice-cold expression and cold tone)

She bows and leaves the room. After a few seconds, a man with a smug smirk on his face shows up.

Dante: great timing I must say.(he says annoyed)

Leo: what do you mean(he says in a cold tone but with a small frown)

Dante: I was about to ask a pretty girl out and have fun with her tonight but you ruined it as soon as you woke up.(he says frustratingly)

Leo: good to know that.(he says with a mocking smirk)

Dante rolls his eyes at him in irritation.

Leo: By the way, the woman from yesterday....who was she? (he asked seriously)

Dante: why? Are you already getting drawn by her? Just after seeing her for a few seconds?(he says teasingly)

Leo: Dante…(he says in a dangerous voice)

Dante: fine! Fine! You're so boring(he rolls his eyeballs) she's a professional neurosurgeon, and she works in this hospital. And she was the one who saved you yesterday.

Leo: what's her name?

Dante: umm…i don't know. Oh! Wait, she gave me her card yesterday(he says taking a card out from his pant's pocket) it says it's Bella Marchese...why does this name sounds familiar to me(he says with a frown)

Leo: Bella Marchese..(he says slowly, deliberately as if savoring the sound of her name. And as if her very name belonged to him and no one else)

Dante: looks like she caught your eye, huh? Well but let me inform you before heads. She is a feisty one. It will be very challenging if you want her.

Leo: That's exactly what I find most interesting about her. And do you think I will be scared of a challenge.

Dante: looks like you have made up your mind. Good luck then bud.

Leo: bring her to me.(he says with a smirk)

Dante: you really are impatient, aren't you? Well, fine i will bring her here.(he says before leaving the room)

After a few minutes, a woman who looked like a goddess entered the room. Her hairs tied in a messy bun, her skin which was as fair as snow glowed like crystal her face worn out from exhaustion but it looked like as if her tiredness complimented her beauty. Her eyes which shone brightly like a star still it looked empty. Her rosy plump lips made him gulp down his dark desire which was burning inside him. Her hands were inside the pockets of the hospital coat that she was wearing. Her expression unreadable.

Bella: why did you want to meet me?(she says with an unreadable expression on her face as her voice came out colder than ice)

Leo: why did you save me yesterday? my life had nothing to do with you. So, why?(he says narrowing his eyes at her, as if trying to read her but fails)

Bella: I am a doctor. Its natural that i save a dying person's life(she says coldly)

Leo: I guess you know who i am or at least guess who i am, don't you?(he says with a knowing smirk)

Bella: Even If i do know, your no different from any other patients to me. So, don't expect me to give special treatment to you just because your powerful.(she says coldly as her words were as sharp and cold as ice spikes)

Leo: I don't.(he replies with a smirk. Clearly amused by her)

Bella: you will have to stay here for 1 whole month to recover completely from your injury.

Leo: I can't. I have to go to work.

Bella: sure, please do go to work without giving your injury time to heal and faint in the middle of nowhere every time in a while.(she says sarcastically)

Leo: i won't. I have a great stamina. Now get the discharge papers ready. I will be leaving today itself.(he says coldly in a commanding tone)

Bella: sure. But tell your man to do your work and command them not me because you're their boss not mine mr.(she says sharply before leaving)

Leo: interesting..(he lets out a soft and low chuckle as he watched her back disappearing from his sight)
