As Almira walked towards the office, her mind was a whirlwind of questions and anxieties. The cryptic text message and the strange behavior of Kyle and Jane had created a thick cloud of suspicion around her. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was on the verge of uncovering a secret that would change everything.

When she arrived at the office, Ms. Dela Cruz greeted her with a warm smile. "Almira, so glad you're here! We need your input on the decorations for the school fair. I have a few options here, but I trust your judgment the most."

Almira tried to focus on the task at hand, but her thoughts kept drifting back to Kyle and Jane. She forced herself to concentrate on the colors, the themes, and the overall aesthetic of the decorations. After about an hour, they finally settled on a plan.

"Thank you so much, Almira! You're a lifesaver," Ms. Dela Cruz said gratefully. "Now, go get some rest. You deserve it."

As Almira left the office, she decided to take a detour and walk past the school's computer lab. She had a hunch that she might find some answers there.

She peeked through the window and saw Kyle and Jane sitting at separate computers, their faces illuminated by the glow of the screens. They seemed engrossed in their tasks, typing furiously.

Almira hesitated for a moment, then decided to go inside. As she approached them, she noticed that they quickly minimized their windows, as if trying to hide something.

"Hey guys! What are you up to?" she asked, trying to sound casual.

Kyle and Jane exchanged nervous glances again. "Oh, hey Almira! We were just... doing some research for our history project," Kyle stammered.

Almira raised an eyebrow, but decided not to press them. "Oh, cool! What's it about?"

"Um, it's about... the history of Cagayan Valley," Jane chimed in quickly.

Almira nodded slowly, but she didn't believe them for a second. She knew they were hiding something, and she was determined to find out what it was.

"Well, good luck with that! I gotta go. See you guys later," she said, turning to leave.

As she walked away, she discreetly glanced back and saw Kyle and Jane quickly reopening their windows. Almira made a mental note to herself: she needed to find a way to see what they were working on.

That evening, Almira couldn't sleep. She tossed and turned in her bed, replaying the events of the day in her mind. The text message, the hushed conversations, the suspicious behavior – it all pointed to something big, something she couldn't ignore.

She decided to take matters into her own hands. She grabbed her laptop and started researching Kyle and Jane online. She scoured their social media profiles, their school records, and anything else she could find.

After hours of searching, she finally stumbled upon something that caught her attention. It was a photo of Kyle and Jane standing in front of a building she didn't recognize. The caption read: "Visiting our relatives in Tuguegarao!"

Almira frowned. She knew that Kyle and Jane didn't have any relatives in Tuguegarao. So why were they lying?

She decided to do some more digging. She searched for the building in the photo and discovered that it was the headquarters of a local political organization.

A chill ran down her spine. What were Kyle and Jane doing at a political organization's headquarters? And why were they keeping it a secret from her?

Almira knew that she was getting closer to the truth, but she also knew that she was walking into dangerous territory. She had a feeling that whatever Kyle and Jane were involved in, it was bigger than she could have ever imagined.
