Inosun nodded, still puzzled. But then, when Reo came face to face with Makisin, something strange happened. His body shifted—skin, hair, aura—until he looked almost identical to Makisin.

“Reo?! You’re… shapeshifting!” Inosun gasped.

Reo looked down at his trembling hands. “Ninety-two percent… that’s how close I can get.”

“You? Here?” Inosun snapped.

“You’re only here because my father took you in!” Inosun shouted.

“At least I didn’t inherit your stupidity. You don’t even know 1 + 1 \= 2,” she snapped back.

Inosun smirked. “And you definitely inherited the ugly side of the family.”

Before things could explode, Tadani burst in… wearing lipstick and makeup.

Both cousins froze. “…”

Tadani twirled. “Do I look good?”

Shock turned into awkward silence. Then, slowly, the tension broke, replaced by laughter.

“You cannot wield your powers recklessly. Fire like that… it will either save us or destroy you.”
