Shinigami stood victorious, his sword still trembling with the force of his blow, as he gazed out at the village. The villagers cheered, their faces filled with relief and gratitude. But he also saw her as she was now - strong, confident, and determined. Her powers, it seemed, were a result of her own inner strength, a manifestation of her refusal to be broken.

As the fight raged on, Shinigami found himself drawn to Lucy, his respect for her growing with each passing moment. Together, they fought off the demons, their swords clashing in a deadly dance.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the demons were defeated. Shinigami and Lucy stood panting, their chests heaving with exhaustion.

"Thanks for your help back there," Shinigami said, his voice gruff with gratitude.

Lucy smiled, her eyes flashing with amusement. "No problem," she said. "I'm just glad we're on the same side."

Shinigami's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with questions. But before he could ask any of them, Lucy's eyes flicked towards something behind him.

"Ah, Shinigami," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "I've been waiting for you."

Lucy watched in awe, her eyes fixed on Shinigami's sword as it sliced through the air. She knew that she had to help him, to use her own powers to defeat Holi.
