A young woman was taking care of the wounded soldiers . Many groans and cries of pain filled the tent, many wounded soldiers were there.

More tents were put up to serve as temporary hospital.The young woman working relentlessly day and night with the army doctor.

A tall ,tired , unshaven Soldier walked in the tent with a batch of wounded soldiers, looking for the doctor. Seeing him, the young woman asked him to help her with the. unconscious soldier whose bandage had to be changed. The soldier didn't refuse but quietly followed her orders as she continued to attend to several other soldiers. The unshaven Soldier didn't look annoyed spending a hour's time in the tent

Watching discretely , the amused general decided to put end to this and sent another soldier to replace him. The unshaven Soldier requested permission to leave.The busy nurse without a second glance nodded and continued with her work.

The unshaven Soldier entered the general's tent, who saluted him. As expected the young King (the unshaven Soldier) wanted to know about the hospital and the nurse.

The general replied , that the nurse was his daughter, who had some training as was living with his wife's brother who was a doctor .

Looking at the several tents housing the wounded soldiers , the king decided to shift the wounded to the nearest fort.

The fort happened to be the home of the general.

The king said he will be duly rembersed, from the royal treasury. The general sent for his daughter Sophia to pay her respects to the King.

Sophia curtsyed to the King , the King turned towards the general and said

" Your daughter will be incharge of the hospital, please arrange for older women who are willing to care for the soldiers. "

Turning towards Sophia, he ordered her , " You must not go to the soldiers, only act as supervisor to the women and medical supplies."

He enquired about her education and was pleasantly surprised that she could speak english and french fluently and was home schooled in her uncle house in another estate, who had adopted her, being childless.

She was currently visiting her parents, went on to inform him that it was her duty to care for the soldiers of her father's battalion as most of the soldiers were recruited from the villages governed by her father's estate.

King Leo lV was impressed by her boldness as well as dutifull personality.The wounded soldiers were shifted to the fort, and the young King came often to inspect the hospital.

King Leo lV was an able commander and had recently united the country after putting an end to civil wars. The neighbouring country had been responsible for the civil unrest now' engaged them in war.

Leo lV was an eligible bachelor but not popular with the Moldovian nobles for his political policies. He asked the hand of Sophia from her father General Alberto.

The betrothal took place in the presence of the army Chaplain , For an engagement ring, King Leo lV put his crested Ring on Sophia s slender finger and which was way to large for her.

Still the Chaplain blessed them and a betrothal contact was signed. Leo lV removed his personal ornaments like gold bracelet, chain and a large sapphire studded ring , to be fashioned into jewellery for his fiancee .

General Alberto presented the King with a sword with a handle like a deer, fashioned by the local blacksmith .

Soon the village goldsmith adjustedt the king's crested ring to fit Sophia finger, created a necklace from the king's bracelet with the sapphire as a pendant, the long chain converted into a double chain and the remaining gold into. Bangles for Sophia' s slender wrists .

King Leo lV engagement gave him the right to be with Sophia . Now the war with the neighbouring country was raging long and hard. The Moldovian nobles are busy with security of the country. War can drain the treasury.

A Royal wedding ceremony was not possible in the troubled times.

Leo decided to go ahead and marry Sophia secretly without the approval of the council of Moldovian royals.

After one year, Aleksandar was born in the General Alberto 's fort, General Alberto was a noble man low in the hierarchy. A old school soldier who would not allow the royal union without marriage.

A ceasefire was brought about after two years of war. Leo lV took his wife Sophia and son back to the capital Sapphira. The council of Moldovian royals approval was granted as the King produced the Chaplain and the marriage certificate.. Sophia became queen.

As years passed , two more sons were born and raised by King as his possible heirs. Aleksandar life was now free from possible danger.

Leo lV , the main protagonist of this story had to make some decisions , will the Crown prince his son choose what is right..

A secret marriage without the council of Moldovian royals approval, made Leo lV more unpopular, but won the hearts of the commoners.

Queen Sophia was also considered a commner as general Alberto was lower in the hierarchy.

Aleksandar resembled his father, dark eyes, black hair, taller than his companions. From early childhood he spoke less listened with interest when people talked.

At the age of ten years, he showed the signs of academic brilliance and sportsmanship.

King Leo lV was proud of his wife Sophia who was well educated unlike the women of the capital Sapphira and presented her with the horse less carriage better known today as the car.

Sophia learnt to drive it and was seen driving around Sapphira, much to the annoyance of Moldovian royals.

King Leo lV took her to the meetings with foreigners as translator for English or French.

The royal family values were strong and inclined towards the good of their subjects.

General Alberto had five young sons, who under the royal patronage became doctors and engineers. General Alberto continued his services as a soldier.

The council of Moldovian royals were busy disapproving and opposing . King Leo that they didn't see Queen Sophia' s. growing popularity and predict her powers as the queen mother of the three future mature princes.

ln the future the mature princes will have the support of the commners.
