05.

Danny flipped through her book, scanning through the pages.

"Whatcha doing?"

Danny flew up from her bed, tossing her book on the floor, reaching under her pillow for the whip she keeps hidden there.

"God's sake, you've been rooming with me for a month, D" Tina squealed as she noticed what Danny was reaching for.

"And you still scare me. Are you a ghost!? Don't you know to make a sound, at least?"

Tina shrugged, nonchalant. "Just keep doing what you were doing."

Danny fell back on her bed, whip still in hand.

"Put that thing away, please."

"Who's Prince Shoal?"

"Prince wha-"

Danny pushed herself up, leaning her head on her hand.

"He can say no to our king apparently," Danny blabbered on, gesturing with her hands wildly, the whip in her hand flinging all around the place. "He... just walk in, doesn't even have to speak, and controls a roomful of..."

Tina sighs. "Where did you go today?"

"To work."

Tina hums turning the kettle on. What a long night.

Danny blabbe?"red on.

"... and he brought me to the All Nations' Council,"

"The All Nations' Council?" Tina frowned. She stopped fussing around the kitchen for a while, handing Danny a baguette.

"How did you, no, how did this Shoal guy get in?"

"He, uh, strode in?"

"No, how did he even know where it was held?"

Danny munched on her baguette. "Must've been invited. God! He came to the bakery and bought do much bread! He didn't even hand those out..."

"How is that important?"

"Eh-xactly, I have a test tomorrow."

"That's not what I meant."

Danny ignored Tina, munching happily on her snack.

The next time Danny opened her eyes, the room was bathed in gold. She stretched out like a cat, grabbing at her phone.

7.30. The test was at nine.

She glared at the ceiling, pulling her phone up to eye level. She stared at the foreign name in her contacts. "Sh-oal"

She cracked her fingers, deciding to send him a message.

'Are you in Barsilla?'

'Also, a all-knowing friend of mine said she hadn't heard of you - and, not to brag or anything, but we're prettt smart, you know. My point is - what country are you the prince of?'

Danny sighed. Throwing her phone to her side.

"D! You better not still be sleeping!"

Danny fell out of the bed. Gracefully. The whip, of which she didn't notice was still next to her, fell after her and left a gash on her face.

Danny hissed. Seeing blood as she touched her wound.

"I'm early, Tina. Quit fussing."

"Get up. You have to get ready, get into the mood, look through your notes again..."

Danny's phone rang as she crawled up her bed.

It was Shoal.

'Yes. Im in Barsilla.'

So he's trying to avoid the other question.

"Stop chatting to the fraud prince, and start being responsoble for your future, Dan!"

"How would you know if he's actually a fraud. And I'm ready for the test, stop fussing will you." Danny grumbled, pushing Tina's hand off her arm, with no success.

" Ok, ok. I'll go wash up!" Danny grumbled, trudging to the washroom. Slamming the door behind her.

The pink door that usually made her happy seemed annoyingly bright today, and the completely yellow washroom seemed to clean, too innocent, to bright. Danny sighed.

Tina shook her head as Danny slammed the door. Just then, Danny's phone rang again, lighting up.

From S: 'Monde'

Tina raised her eyebrows. Starring at the pink background of Danny's phone and that unfamiliar S.

She was going ti meet this Fraud.

She unlocked her best friend's phone, snooping in her contacts for the 'S'.
