Rex King-

It's been two days with Estelle, my Star.

One day since Alex adopted her and gave her our mother's name.

Luna Estelle King

Because she is beautiful, warm and even after all that she's been through, she still carries hope, she still carries the love, still hasn't lost her warmth and even though the world hasn't been kind and gentle to her, she is the epitome of kindness and gentleness.

I had my laptop open in front of me, but I was actually lost in my thoughts.

"Rex," a soft whisper fell on to my ears and I looked up to see Estelle looking at me.

I closed my laptop and walked to her. Brushing her hairs aside I looked at her face.

"Are you okay, Star?" I questioned and she nodded.

"I- I need to use the bathroom." She told me nervously playing with her fingers.

Oh dear.. why is so cute?

Not now Rex.

"Okay, let me take you." I said and gently picked her up.

She had 6 broken ribs actually. Thankfully none of them pricked her lungs. Her lungs were fine and today, later in the day, she was arranged for a surgery to repair those broken ribs. I didn't want to hurt her, because she was already in pain.

"Don't lock the door, okay. And shout for me if you feel uncomfortable. I will be right outside the door." I told her in a firm, yet gentle voice and lowered her on the floor.

Once she was standing by herself, I left her and closed the door.

I turned around and my brothers were looking at me. I shook my head and went back to my place.

"She wanted to use bathroom. I didn't think it was okay for her to walk, so I carried her. I've asked her not to lock the door. Keep an ear out if she calls." I spoke hurriedly and the room was unbearably silent.

I looked at my brothers, smiling, and wide eyed. I shook my head again.

Before I could say anything, Alex pressed my head to his chest and kissed my head.

"It's been long, since I heard you speak, my baby." He held me in his arms for a minute and half straight.

I looked at his face, he was tired. His eyes were like the bottomless pools. Worry and concern etched on his face. My brother was tiring himself out.

"Are you okay, Alex?" I asked placing my hand on his thigh and he nodded.

"Now I'm." He replied and I gave him a small smile, after which he ruffled my hairs.

We heard the flush and I walked to the door again. But even after a minute she didn't call me.

"Star?" I called her but no response.

"Estelle, you okay baby?" I asked again.

Still no response. Worry gripped my mind like a snake coiling around its prey.

"Alex," I yelled his name and he was there in a blink.

"I got this." He said and opened the door, but he froze.

We all froze. My star was on the floor curled up like a ball. As if she was making herself small, so no one could see her.

Alex picked her up and got her out. We immediately called Nathan. He is a doctor.

Alex gently placed her on the bed and tucked her in. We tried calling her so much, but no answers. She wasn't breathing fine. She just stared in space. She didn't even blink.

"Alex, what's happening to her?" I asked scared shitless.

Soon the door opened and Nathan and other doctor rushed inside.

"Angel, what wrong baby? Can you hear me? Look at me baby, please." Nathan called to but answer.

But then she started shaking, her whole body convulsing and Nathan didn't waste time. He immediately gave her some medicine and her body went limp and her eyes closed out.

Her breathing too evened out after a while. She was asleep now. Her face looked peaceful.

Oh boy! Only if anyone had told me that my star would be visiting that one day of her life when she actually lost the will to live anymore, I would enter her dreams and save her again and again..
