Episode 3

After the days of that meeting in which her father was rejected for the first time, Hazel rarely saw him at home, or rather, in the clan, as he traveled very often. They didn't know where he was going, as they had no right to ask. For her, it was a relief not to see him, as even her mother looked better now that she was no longer being subjected to him.

"Hazel, what are you doing here?" asked Marcos, one of her father's trusted warriors.

"Working," she said, loading hay to feed the cows.

"You came of age a few days ago. Did anyone turn out to be your destined?" he asked, walking beside her without even helping her carry that bale of hay.

"No," she replied. She hadn't had that blessing, although now that she thought about it, it was even good, since most of the men of the Windsor Clan were as despotic as her father.

"Interesting, you know, you are beautiful and I think you will give me male pups," he commented. Hazel dropped the bale of hay and looked at him in surprise. "I'll tell your father to give you to me as my chosen mate," he commented, looking her up and down. That look made Hazel nauseous. Marcos was young, yes, but there was a reason he had become one of her father's most trusted Alphas. They were two of a kind, and it was a fact that he only wanted to mate with her because he wanted the title of Alpha of Alphas.

Hazel ran home and locked herself in her bedroom. She didn't want to be given to Marcos. That man would make her life worse than it already was. She even feared being beaten like her mother. She walked back and forth, until her mother entered. She couldn't take it anymore and threw herself into her arms. She didn't hesitate to tell her what Marcos had in mind. Hilda sighed heavily. She didn't want her daughter to have the same fate as her, but she couldn't even do anything to defend her.

"You have to get out of here," she commented. It was the only thing she could think of if she wanted to save her daughter. Hazel sighed and shook her head. If she escaped, then her mother would be punished.

"I don't want them to hurt you," she said as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"You don't deserve this hellish life, Hazel," she caressed her cheeks. They heard Caspian's screams. He seemed more furious than ever. "Don't come out," she kissed her forehead and left the bedroom.

Hazel obeyed her mother. She heard her father's screams. He blamed her mother for everything, for the fact that she never gave him a male pup. Now he couldn't maintain the power of the Windsor Clan. She heard her mother's screams, while that man began to beat her. She begged him to stop, to not hurt her anymore. Hazel walked back and forth, covering her ears with her hands to stop listening, but it was all in vain, until she couldn't stand it anymore. She felt her blood boil. Her wolf was as furious as she was. She left the bedroom and went downstairs, only to find something horrible. Her father was sitting on the individual sofa, while his men abused her beloved mother, who had her face all beaten up.

"Get away from them, you bastard dogs!" she lunged at them, Caspian only watched his daughter being held back by two of his men.

"Are you sure you want her, Marcos?" he asked. Hazel hadn't realized, but Marcos was next to her father.

"Yes, Alpha," he commented with a smile, Caspian nodded.

"Good, then take her now, then share her with the others," he ordered. Marcos frowned at that order. "You will be the first, but not the only one. We need a male heir. It doesn't matter who the father is as long as she is the mother," he added. Marcos nodded, he had no choice but to obey.

"No, no, she's your daughter, Caspian," Hilda barely managed to say. Caspian only laughed loudly.

Hazel watched Marcos approach her while unbuttoning his pants. Her body began to tremble. She felt like vomiting. She didn't want that man to take her. She looked with hatred at Caspian. That man couldn't even be her father. She felt so much rage, disgust towards him. She wanted him to pay for all the damage he had caused them.

Hilda barely managed to stay conscious. She wouldn't let her daughter live the same fate as her. No, she deserved something better. She deserved to be happy. She knew that the Moon Goddess had prepared something special for her. There was a reason she gave her that wolf with that beautiful name. Without thinking, she took a knife from one of the men who was nearby.

"I, Hilda Windsor, renounce the blood pact I made with you, Caspian Windsor," she said to everyone's surprise. Caspian's eyes widened in surprise. He got up from his seat, but it was too late. Hilda pierced that knife in her chest, causing Caspian to fall to his knees and place a hand on his chest.

"Bitch," Caspian growled as he felt the pain. The only way to break the blood pact was with the death of one of the two, but renouncing and taking one's life in the presence of the chosen mate was an agonizing pain for both, although only one would die.

"Run, Hazel!" Hilda screamed. Hazel obeyed, shook off the grip of those men, pushed Marcos who was surprised like everyone by her mother's sacrifice.

Hazel jumped out of the window. She didn't want to leave, but she didn't want her mother's sacrifice to be in vain either. Her heart ached, her tears fell non-stop. She could feel it, she could feel her mother's life extinguishing.

"Run my child, don't look back, don't stop, you deserve a different life, you deserve the blessing of a destined mate who loves you," Hilda spoke through the link.

"Mom, I'm sorry," she said with her voice breaking.

"My child, don't apologize, you have a different destiny, you have to be happy Hazel, forget that you are a Windsor, find your destined mate and live your life far from this horrible clan, promise me," she continued agonizing.

"I promise, Mom, I promise," she said without thinking, she knew that her mother's life was coming to an end.

"I love you with all my heart."

"I love you more Mom, thank you..." she said as she entered the forest. "Mom?" She called her, but she only heard her last sigh and the link was cut.

Hazel ran in a sea of tears, the pain in her heart was too much, she could no longer make a link with her mom, that meant that she was dead, she heard noises, the wolves were beginning to follow her, if they caught her then her mother's sacrifice would be in vain.

"Let me take control," said her wolf, "Hazel, we have to flee, we can't die here," she said again.

Hazel agreed to her wolf's words, she felt her bones break as she transformed without stopping running, it was the first time she had done it, the pain was unbearable, she closed her eyes tightly and after a few seconds, the pain faded, when she opened her eyes again she saw through her wolf, she ran at great speed, without having a fixed course, the only thing they wanted was to escape from the Windsor clan, from that hell, she ran all night, being guided by the light of the moon without knowing where she was going, she didn't care, without realizing it she crossed that invisible line that led her to the life of humans.

Jonathan was closing the cafeteria after a normal and long day, he felt something strange, lately it had been like that he didn't understand why, but he heard a voice inside him, although he couldn't understand what it said, besides there were changes in his body and his strength increased, he also kept having those strange dreams with the girl with reddish violet hair, without being able to see her face, but every time he dreamed of her, he had the need to meet her, his body reacted just by thinking about her, sometimes he thought it was due to stress.

He entered his house and Max jumped at him, he prepared a simple dinner some sandwiches and a chocolate milkshake and served Max his favorite kibble, when he was about to sit down to eat and watch a movie as he used to do every night, he heard a strange noise coming from outside, Max began to bark desperately.

"Calm down, friend," he stroked the husky's head, took a lamp and went out to the backyard to investigate, he doubted it was a thief, because the town was too small and very quiet, if it was one, then it wouldn't be from there, everything was dark and very quiet that began to worry him.

Jonathan shone the light towards some bushes, something was moving there, he approached cautiously, hoping it wasn't a thief and much less a dangerous animal, when he was only a few steps away from the bushes, a wolf with reddish violet hair jumped in front of him, from the impression he fell to the ground and looked at that huge wolf it didn't seem normal and more than scare him it caused him a strange feeling, his beautiful brown eyes looked at him intensely and then it was there when he felt something awaken inside him, his body burned, a strange power ran through his body, blurred images were shown in his mind, the day of the accident where he lost his parents, some huge and ferocious wolves attacked them, his head began to hurt, everything was confusing, he rubbed his eyes because they burned, his breathing was agitated and then he raised his eyes once again when he heard a tender whisper that made his whole body tense.

"Mate," he heard a soft female voice, which made his whole body freeze.

"Mate"

He heard a voice inside him, but it was a hoarse, masculine, imposing voice, his eyes turned blue and shone in the dark night, that beautiful wolf with her intoxicating aroma woke him up from what was a long dream, his destiny had been set in motion because his beloved mate was already by his side, the Moon Goddess sent her and now that she was there he would not let her go, he would protect her and love her as she deserved.

The wolf staggered to the sides, she was weak she had lost track of time, she didn't know how long she had run, but she felt that now she was safe, because she was in front of her destined mate, she felt so happy that the Goddess of the Moon had taken pity on her, she walked towards him who seemed to be lost, she could no longer stand on her feet, she fell to the ground unconscious.

Jonathan opened his eyes in surprise when he saw how that wolf took human form, he rubbed his eyes unable to believe what he saw, he got up and approached her very carefully, her beautiful hair reminded him of the girl in his dreams, he pulled it away from her face and sighed, she was pretty, he couldn't help it and his gaze ran over her body, he shook his head immediately pushing away all the lustful thoughts he was having at that moment, he scratched his head thinking about what to do with her, he couldn't just leave her there, the night was cold, maybe he should call the police, he sighed.

"Don't even think about taking her away from our side," he heard a voice, he turned to the sides looking for the owner of that hoarse voice.

"I'm going crazy," he blurted out heavily, he carried the girl in his arms when touching her skin his body reacted, besides she gave off a delicious aroma that could drive him crazy with desire.

Jonathan took the girl to his bedroom, laid her on the bed and went to his closet, took out one of his shirts and put it on her trying not to touch more than necessary, then he covered her with the sheets of the bed, he couldn't stop looking at her beautiful face, she had some freckles that formed a horizontal path on the nasal dorsum.

"How pretty," he caressed her cheek tenderly, he couldn't stop looking at her, she awakened a strange feeling in him.
