Chapter 5: The past haunts

The time is 4pm, Susie blankety finishes from work early and goes to the supermarket to pick up groceries before heading home, upon arrival at home she makes some preparations while waiting for her husband to return from work, shortly afterwards her husband returns graces her with a kiss as he heads up to wash up, after which he returns back downstairs to have dinner with he's wife, they both eat and are afterwards satisfied. The time is 9pm and they both head to bed early as a couple but as the time approached midnight, Susie is awoken from a nightmare in a daze with tears in her eyes her husband holds her and comforts her, she then heads downstairs to have a cup of water, the air becomes cold and stiffening afterwards the very same spirit Mavis had tried to banish appears behind her, she turns around to head up but is frightened by the sight she had seen, she says "you" before getting on her knees apologizing "I'm sorry I'm sorry" with tears in her eyes, the spirit disappears, Susie takes a sigh of relief but soon after begins bleeding from her eyes followed by loss of breath before slumping to the ground to die, her worried husband comes down to check on her but is instead graced by tragedy upon he's arrival. Meanwhile, back in K University Mavis accompanied by Numine search for solutions on what to do about the spirit with Numine being indifferent to the whole matter entirely, Mavis poses a query "the spirit didn't appear last night, what does that mean" to which Numine replies "when a vengeful spirit leaves the area it was summoned in it never means anything good", Numine observes Mavis worrying as he thinks to himself "should I just destroy the spirit" but ultimately decides to give her a chance to try her way, meanwhile three days later another bleeding eyed victim appeared, this time a buff male that seems to have been used to working out. Later that night Mavis takes a stroll out at night through the school campus before eventually following up on somebody suspicious, she follows him as he approaches the accounting building, she announces her presence asking who he was as he turned back and tells her that he's name is Ivan Betts an alumni from the school and came to visit he's old school at night cause he needed air, she could see the fear in he's eyes as he spoke to her so she asks "are you okay" with swear dripping down he's face he replies "I'm fine" before heading off from her. as she turns around to leave she hears Ivan's scream in a distance behind the accounting building, she dashes towards the place but is too late as she sees Ivan's body on the floor with blood from he's eyes, she sees the vengeful spirit still around but before she could utter a word the spirit disappears once again, Mavis hears a cough and looks down to find Ivan is still hanging on for he's life, she calls the ambulance to take Ivan. As morning reaches Mavis went to find Numine and informed him of what had occured so the two of them go to the hospital to see Ivan who had yet to regain consciousness, Mavis asks the doctor for an update to which the doctor says he'll live but is unsure of when he'll wake up, the doctor remarks that they've seen this case of bleeding eyes and choking three times now but with two bodies to which Mavis ponders on with Numine suggesting that they've found them, he says to Mavis "the people who hurt the spirit in the past, these have to be them now she's back to exert her vengeance".
