...FLASHBACK...

It a hot summer day. Anne was returning home buying a watermelon. She picked that watermelon out of 50 melons & bargained with the shopkeeper over 20 minutes for the melon. She was about a block away when suddenly someone bumped into her & the watermelon bag loosened her grip. The melon tossed over the sidelong road & bashed with the electricity pole. The melon burst into 4-5 prices. " Ahh!!!! My precious melon!!!!",Anne shouted as if someone died in front of her. She was so angry that she picked one of her shoes and started beating the person who bumped into her. " Sorry,Sorry!! Plz stop. Don’t beat me. I will pay...I will pay"." Where can I find a good,fine watermelon like this now?",Anne shouted. "I will give you. I know a place where you can find a better one. Plz spare me." Hearing this Anne stoped beating & told him to take her there. Anne followed the boy. The boy took her to a watermelon farm where an old uncle grows watermelon. " Wow!! I didn’t know here is a watermelon farm so near our house." " Well you can take one that you like from here. I will pay." Anne choose a better one than before. The boy talked with the farm owner & paid for the melon. " Thank you. ",Anne apologised. " It's ok. It was my fault actually. This farm owner is my relative. I sometimes work here.BTW, My name is David. What is yours?",the boy asked Anne. "Anne", Anne replied shortly & then left the place quickly saying her mother is waiting for the melon at home. Their first meeting was like this.

...Next Day...

Anne left home early in the morning to go to the school. She had to take train for reaching school. In the train, normally she listen songs or sleep. But that day Anne saw David in the train. He was wearing the same uniforms as her school. So she knew, they goes to the same school. David also saw Anne & apologised again for yesterday's incident. Anna could tell his apology was sincere & she also felt guilty for her behaviour yesterday, as she beat him with shoe. Anne also apologised to him & thus they began to start talking.

After that David frequently went to Anne's class for meeting her & they became friends. They also started to go to school & return home together. When David used to go to the farm for working, he would also meet with Anne. Soon they grew feelings for each other. Anne's bestie June & her desk mate Selena knew Anne's feelings for David." You should confess your feelings early lest someone else covets your David.",June said. "Who will covet?", Anne asked innocently. " Oh..ho..Anne,You are a dumb girl. Didn’t you see Sarah confessed to David yesterday? ",June replied. "But he rejected her.I think he doesn’t like anybody. If I confess now & he refuses me than it would become embarrassing to meet him in future. ", Anne replied & sighed. " Then keep waiting till he confesses... ",June told & went outside of the class. Anne faces towards the window while the gentle breeze blows her silky hair.
