The Big Event

It was four in the morning when the sky begins to turn into darker shade along with the strong winds. Series of lightnings are visible and flickering in the dark clouds that seems to reach something that was on the ground, followed by loud sound of thunders that seems to cover the whole city.

The loud rumbling of thunder gave Samantha a jolt. She gets up abruptly clasping her chest. She hates thunder the most. She gets up and close her window as the heavy rain starting to make its way inside her room.

She decided to have a quick bath as she noticed she's still wearing her office uniform. She was exhausted from work that she didn't even had her dinner.

When she comes back from work, she plan to have something to eat but out of her tiredness, she go straight to her room and collapse on the bed. Now it's 4 in the morning. She needs to freshen up and get herself some food.

It's been a busy month for the entire Company that all employees are obliged to do overtime for the whole two months for the upcoming event of the year.

She's happy that her Boss still let her participate in the Design Department as it's her first love, but to let her design the gown that will represent the Dragon Empire Company, and compete with other big companies in a fashion show, she almost fainted!

"Don't let me down." was the last thing he said before he goes out of the office. Leaving her with no other choice.

This two months was like hell. Aside from stress due to so much work, a lot of co-workers finds her trouble one after another because of her so-called relationship with the CEO, that spread like wildfire in all the corners of the building, that makes her famous in all Dragon Empire Building that instant.

What's more, the CEO himself announced that she will be in charge of the design of the gown for this year's big event. So she get herself ready for all that is to come, as long as she's earning and can support her mom and she's able to save for their future, shes willing to take all the madness that the world have to give her.

"Does she have no shame at all? Using her beauty to seduce the big boss, and she dares order us around. Who does she think she is?"

" Well, a man like our CEO won't fall for a b*tch like her. Who knows what kinds of dirty tricks she used to blackmail him?"

"Just wait and see, it won't take long for her to go back to wherever dump she came from."

Those words from her co-workers along with their deadly gaze, are nothing new to her, and honestly speaking, she don't care at any of them at all.

She focused on her work and did her very best this last two months. Now it's only a week away from the big event and everything was all in place so she can take a breather now.

Since she just finished her super late dinner and early breakfast in one, she decided to work on the piece that she's working at home knowing she won't be able to sleep just yet.
