The Heartbreak

He was shaking, nerves unraveling, and felt the urge to run.

But he was caught in a moment he couldn’t escape—a moment where he never intended to confess his feelings.

Yet somehow, he mustered the courage and spoke:

Richard: “Si… Si… Si… Silvana… I… I find you really pretty, and I… I… I… li… li… like you very much. Yes! I’m the one behind RITUTORIALS, the YouTube channel you watch. And yes, those sketches—they were drawn by me.”

Silvana: “I… I don’t know what to say.”

Richard: “It’s totally fine. Let’s just eat dinner together… It’s getting cold.”

Silvana: “Hmm…”

They sat quietly on the bed, sharing dinner.

Silvana was completely lost in thought, her mind clouded with questions. She didn’t know how to respond.

Silvana: “You cook really well too…”

Richard: “Thanks… hehe.”

Silvana: “You’re multitalented.”

Richard: “Thanks… By the way, it’s getting late. You should head home—I’ll drop you.”

Silvana: “No, thanks… I’ll go on my own.”

Richard: “But it’s dark outside! No—I’ll drop you.”

Silvana: “Please…”

Richard: “Okay… but once you reach home, please call me or at least text. Let’s exchange numbers.”

Silvana: “Okay.”

They exchanged numbers.

Later that night, Silvana texted: “I reached.”

Richard waited. He called. He messaged.

But there was no response from her again.

---

A few years later…

A breaking news report aired on national television:

“The world’s richest man is getting married!”

At first, Richard didn’t pay attention to the tabloid-style news—until he heard the name.

Silvana. Silvana Peter.

She was marrying Jeremiah Halton.

He collapsed to the ground, devastated.

His chest tightened. His mind went blank.

And then he saw her face on the screen.

It was Silvana.

A flood of emotions washed over him—numbness, heartbreak, betrayal.

He wanted to scream, but there was no one there to hear him cry.

He spiraled into a deep depression.

He started drinking. Then smoking. Then drugs.

Anything that could numb the pain or help him escape this unbearable reality.

He never imagined that the girl he had loved so deeply would disappear… move to another country… and marry someone else.

---

Weeks passed.

Suddenly, his phone rang.

Richard: “Hello?”

Caller: “Hello, is this Richard speaking?”

Richard: “Yes… who is this?”

Caller: “I’m Silvana’s fiancé.”

Richard felt goosebumps rush over his skin.

His breath caught in his throat. He was too stunned to speak.

Caller: “Hello? Sir? Are you there?”

Richard: “Yeah…”

Caller: “Silvana told me everything about you. And by the way—I’m a huge fan! I can’t believe I’m actually talking to you right now!”

Richard: “That’s… really great.”

Caller: “Sir, why did you stop uploading videos?”

Richard: “I shifted focus to other work.”

Caller: “Oh okay, sir. By the way, we’re in India right now. If you’re free, we’d love to meet you.”

Richard: “I don’t allow fans to meet me. I value my privacy.”

Caller: “Oh… alright, sir. But please, could you just talk to Silvana?”

Silvana: “Hello? Richard?”

His heart stopped.

That voice—it brought everything rushing back.

The memories. The emotions. The love. The pain.

Richard: “I’m really sorry. I said what I had to say… Goodbye.”

He hung up. Then broke down, crying uncontrollably.

He hit himself, screamed into the silence.

The pain was too much to bear.

Richard (to himself): “Why is she trying to meet me after everything she’s done?!”

In a fit of emotion, he filled his room with charcoal sketches, torn canvases, angry brushstrokes.

Days passed. He didn’t eat. He didn’t sleep.

Just pain, art, and silence.
