✦ The Classroom Buzz - After Trust Walk
The room buzzed with chatter about the Trust Walk as students filtered into their usual spots.
"Tell me the truth, Ken. During the Trust Walk… did your heart skip when he touched your hand?" Khao whispered with a teasing grin.
Ken blinked, already blushing. "What?! I....I don’t even remember!"
"Sure. That explains the dreamy smile you had for the next five minutes," Khao teased.
Thee leaned toward Fah as they took their seats. "You looked like a bodyguard carrying treasure when you caught him."
Fah shrugged. "I just didn’t want him to hit the ground."
"Or maybe you didn’t want him to leave your arms?" Thee said with a sly smirk.
Ken and Khao sat in their usual seats behind them. The air felt heavier than usual.
✦ Unseen Glances
Fah couldn’t help it. Between notes and lectures, his eyes kept drifting back—to Ken. His scent lingered like calm after a storm.
Ken, unaware at first, eventually found his gaze following Fah, heart pounding each time he did. Neither noticed the other catching them in the act.
But Thee and Khao noticed.
"Do you see that?" Khao whispered to Thee.
Thee smirked. "Oh yeah. Operation Get-Those-Two-Together begins."
"It's like watching a slow-burn drama unfold live," Khao said.
Thee grinned. "You handle Ken, I handle Mr. Ice Prince."
✦ Professor's Warning
The door opened. All students stood. "Good morning, sir," they chimed.
"Good morning. Sit down," the professor said, adjusting his glasses.
The lesson resumed, but soon, the professor paused. "For your next assignment, you will explore the nature of pheromones between Alphas and Omegas. Effects. Dangers. Uses."
The room fell silent.
"Work in pairs or small groups. You have three weeks. But be careful."
He stepped closer, lowering his tone.
"Years ago, a dominant Alpha—arrogant, dangerous—enhanced his own pheromones. Nearly caused a disaster."
A student raised their hand nervously. "Sir, what exactly happened?"
The professor sighed. "He created a spray that made his own pheromones flood the room. Omegas fainted. Betas panicked. Even other Alphas turned aggressive. It took a week to settle the damage."
He pointed to a wall unit. "That purifier there? Invented by an Omega in that class. He saved them all. Got hired by a top company."
"So this isn’t just about chemistry," another student murmured.
"Exactly," the professor nodded. "It's about understanding responsibility."
Then, the professor looked straight at Fah.
"Don’t repeat that mistake. Especially you, Wattanachai."
Whispers broke out.
Fah turned to Thee. "Why the hell did he look at me?"
Thee laughed. "Maybe because you're loved by students... feared by professors."
"Or maybe he knows you're not as calm as you act," Thee added with a wink.
Fah rolled his eyes but couldn't hide the flicker of confusion.
✦ The Group
Students began grouping up fast.
"If you two aren't joining anyone yet,"
Khao said to Thee and Fah, "you can join us."
Ken quietly added, "I don’t mind."
Thee nodded. "Yes! More people \= more ideas."
Fah nodded. "Sure. If Thee's fine with it."
He thought he was joining for Thee. He didn't know Ken had hoped he would say yes.
Thee glanced between the two of them, then leaned to Khao. "You see the way he answered? Totally pretending it wasn't about Ken."
Khao snickered. "They’re hopeless."
✦ Watched From the Shadows
As bags zipped and chairs scraped, one figure stood still—outside, behind a pillar.
Eyes sharp. Watching.
Thee looked back. "My bag..."
As he scanned the room, his eyes caught movement outside the window.
A shadow. A man. Watching them.
Then—he ran.
Thee bolted out. By the time he reached the college entrance, the figure was gone. Like a ghost.
He stood there, breathless, scanning the street. Was it someone he knew? Or something more?
Why was he watching our class? And why me or maybe someone else ?
✦ Thee's POV - While going Canteen
"That man I think I have seen him before but were.... ." He whispered to himself while walking to Canteen.
It wasn’t the first time I saw him.
That person—the one who hides in shadows, never getting too close, but never really far either.
I’ve noticed him before. From the very first days of college, actually. Just small things—someone turning the corner too quickly when Fah and I passed by… a presence that disappeared as soon as you tried to focus on it.
At first, I thought it was just me being paranoid. We’re surrounded by hundreds of students every day. Anyone could be walking in the same direction, hanging around near the buildings or the common paths.
But something about this guy—whoever he is—felt different.
And today proved it.
I had just left the main building and was heading to the cafeteria. Fah, Ken, and Khao were already there, probably discussing how to divide the assignment work. I could already imagine Ken stressing over something small while Khao smiled and tried to cheer him up, and Fah pretending he didn’t care but secretly listening to every detail.
That’s when I saw him again.
Across the courtyard, near the line of trees beside the science block.
That same figure. Wearing the same dull hoodie pulled over his head.
Watching.
But this time, he wasn’t just watching me.
He was watching all of us.
My heart skipped. I slowed my steps, pretending to check my phone. I angled my eyes just enough to get a clearer view without turning my head. He was standing completely still—eyes locked in our direction.
I turned my body slightly, pretending to head toward the vending machine.
And just as I shifted, he moved.
Fast.
Too fast.
He turned and started walking away quickly—almost running.
That’s when it hit me.
This wasn’t normal.
This wasn’t random.
This wasn’t harmless curiosity.
I followed. Not running—yet—but keeping my pace steady and focused.
But the guy was quick. He disappeared behind the maintenance building, slipping through the side paths like he knew the layout perfectly. I reached the corner, and he was gone.
I stared at the empty space in front of me, breathing slightly heavier than before.
That was it.
That was enough.
Whoever this guy was—he’d been watching Fah and me since the first day of college. Maybe even before that. And now that Ken had shown up, it felt like his attention had only intensified. But why?
Was he after Fah? Jealous of Ken? Or was there something deeper?
I turned around, heading back toward the cafeteria. My steps were slower now. Not from exhaustion—but from thinking.
When I reached the table where the others were sitting, they were already halfway into planning the assignment. Fah gave me a small nod. Ken glanced at me briefly before returning to the paper in front of him. Khao waved cheerfully.
None of them knew.
None of them had seen.
I pulled up a chair and sat down, but my mind wasn’t on the assignment.
It was on him.
And on the questions that wouldn’t leave me alone now.
