I’m Benjamin

As the study group concluded, Moon gathered her belongings, eager to leave. She avoided eye contact with Benjamin, not wanting to engage in conversation. Moon had been focused on her studies for so long; she didn't need distractions.

Benjamin, however, seemed to have other plans. As Moon stood up to leave, he approached her. "Hey, you're Moon, right?" he asked, his smile friendly. Moon nodded curtly, still not making eye contact. "Yeah, that's me."

Benjamin didn't seem deterred. "I'm Benjamin. We met in the cafeteria the other day." Moon's grip on her books tightened. "I remember," she said briefly, hoping he'd take the hint and leave her alone.

Benjamin, however, continued to chat, discussing the study group's topics and asking Moon's opinion on certain issues. Moon responded politely but briefly, trying to keep the conversation light and impersonal.

As they walked out of the venue, Moon quickened her pace, hoping to escape Benjamin's company. But he kept pace with her, seemingly enjoying the conversation.

As they walked across campus, Benjamin continued to chat with Moon, discussing everything from literature to music. Moon found herself responding more warmly, despite her initial reservations. Benjamin's enthusiasm was infectious, and she couldn't help but laugh at his witty remarks.

When Benjamin suggested they grab coffee and discuss a complex topic from the study group, Moon hesitated for a moment. But Benjamin's friendly demeanor put her at ease, and she agreed.

As they sat down at a nearby café, Moon felt a sense of trepidation. She hadn't intended to spend more time with Benjamin, but his charming smile and easygoing nature made her feel more relaxed.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly, and Moon found herself opening up to Benjamin in ways she hadn't expected. She shared her thoughts on literature and philosophy, and Benjamin listened intently, asking insightful questions.

As they sipped their coffee, Moon found herself enjoying Benjamin's company, but she was careful not to let her guard down. She kept her responses light and casual, avoiding any deeply personal topics.

Benjamin seemed to sense her boundaries and didn't push her to open up further. Instead, he focused on discussing literature and philosophy, sharing his own thoughts and insights.

Moon appreciated his respect for her boundaries and continued to engage in the conversation. However, she remained cautious, unsure of Benjamin's intentions.

As they finished their coffee, Benjamin glanced at his watch and stood up. "I should probably get going," he said. "But it was great talking to you, Moon."

Moon smiled politely and stood up, feeling a mix of relief and curiosity. She wasn't sure what to make of Benjamin's interest in her, but she was determined to keep her priorities straight.

As they parted ways, Moon watched Benjamin walk away, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She had enjoyed their conversation, but she was glad to be back in control of her own schedule.

Moon headed back to the library, determined to refocus on her studies. She spent the rest of the day immersed in her books, taking notes and summarizing key points.

As the sun began to set, Moon closed her books and packed up her belongings. She felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing she had stayed on track and made progress on her studies.

As she walked back to her hostel, Moon's thoughts drifted back to Benjamin. She wondered if she would see him again, and what their next interaction would be.
