Chapter 4:Ella

It was my first high school party so I decided to show off. I wore a black crop top with sweatpants, red and black sneakers, my hair was loose and I had no make up on. The music pulsed through my body as I stepped inside the house. The house was crowded with people from school, all talking, laughing, dancing and drinking. It was just Lily and I because Stacy and Jasmine didn't want to attend the party. Lily grabbed my hand, pulling me through the crowd.

"come on, let's get drinks!!"

I followed her, feeling a bit overwhelmed. The music was loud and the lights were flashing, making it hard to see but Lily knew where she was going. We made our way into the kitchen where there was red solo cups set up on the table and people were playing beer pong. I took a sip and winced at the taste, I wasn't use to drinking but I wanted to fit in. We talked for a while and danced to the music, the crowd was energetic and I found myself having a good time.

As the night went on I felt someone looking at me, I looked around but I couldn't see anyone. I decided to step outside just to take a deep breath and relax. My eyes landed on Nathan, he was here, at the party and damn he looked so attractive in his tank top and sweatpants. His hair was fluffy and messy. He was with his friends but he looked at me and we made eye contact. They were standing by the pool, talking, laughing and drinking.

Lily stood next to me and smirked. She then nudged me shoulder, making me break eye contact with Nathan.

"so you falling for Mr bad boy/Mr stalker?"

"no, I just find him a bit interesting"

"uh huh, just interesting. I see the way you both look at each other, he is interested in you."

"no way!! He's a bad boy and I'm like the good innocent girl. If I fall for him and if he falls for me then we're gonna break each other. And it won't be so pretty."

"keep telling yourself that, Ella. But we both know you're interested in him, you can't deny your feelings."

Lily walked back inside the house and I was alone with my thoughts. It has only been 4 days and I'm already interested in the bad boy. She was right, I couldn't deny my feelings even if I wanted to, but falling in love with a bad boy wasn't on my bingo card. What if my mom got mad? What if she doesn't like the idea of me dating a bad boy?

My thoughts kept wondering until I heard the sound of the water splashing. One of Nathan's friends had gotten thrown into the pool. Everyone laughed and soon jumped in the pool. For the first time I saw Nathan smile.
