CHAPTER TWO: A VISITOR... 'WHO ARE YOU?"

In front of her was a dilapidated single room apartment, from living in a mansion to a rundown apartment.... The wooden door was rickety, almost like it'll fall of with just a slight push.

Lu Feiyu pushed the door open without a change in her expression.

It creaked open to reveal a rather neat interior... The only furniture however, was a small sofa and a table, a few utensils were packed atop a table at the side and a large curtain was used to separate the bedroom from the living room.

Lu Feiyu placed the little backpack she was holding on the table and went to take a shower.

I'm a few minutes, she came out wearing a black buggy t-shirt and short ripped jeans.

Her long black her was still wet and slightly dripping, she had sharp brows and long lashes, her lips were the right size, plump and pink, her skin was very smooth even though she was no longer living a luxurious life.

She had long slender legs,... The anklet she wore highlighted her skin.

Lu Feiyu sat on the bed and pulled a small bedside locker open.

In it lay a rather odd bracelet...the bracelet or anklet was composed of several gems... There were diamonds, emeralds, pearls, sapphire and ruby.

Lu Feiyu turned the odd ball in her hand a bit before putting back in locker.

She got up, fumbled for a knife in the pile of utensils before going out to the back of the house.

In the backyard, she and her mother had planted a few veggies including carrots, cabbage and some other ones.

Lu Feiyu thought she heard the sound of several cars while digging, but then she ignored it and continued what she was doing,thinking it was just her ears playing tricks.

"Feiyu!" A cheerful voice called out.

"Hey Mel... How are you?" Melissa's father was American, so she had an English name though she took after her mother.

Her features didn't look American though.

"Am good, how is auntie?"

"She's good... For now."

"She'll be fine okay... Umm, I was going to work, and I thought I should pass by and bring this to you." Saying that she handed Feiyu a bottle of milk.

Feiyu and Melissa, a.k.a. Xiao Fei met just three years back when Feiyu moved here with her mother.

She was very irritable at the time, not used to a harsh life and Xiao Fei was the one who talked to her and comforted her.

The two of them became close since then.

Whenever Xiao Fei bought something, she always likes to get one for Feiyu too.

"Thanks, Xiao Fei."

"No biggie.... I've to go. See you tonight okay. Take care of yourself and greet auntie for me."

"Will do." Feiyu replied and placed the milk and veggies in the basket she brought with her.

"Oh right... I'll come see auntie when I get off work alright?"

"Okay... Then see you tonight... Hurry, you'll be late for work." Feiyu urged Xiao Fei.

"Byeeee…" she waved Feiyu and left.

Xiao Fei was a cheerful person, but she always looked out for Feiyu.

Feiyu smiled looking at her retreating back and went back inside.
