"Ella, now is class recess."

"Good!"

"Let's go to the cafe area. I’m very hungry!"

I smile and start eating my food again.

The food was too good.

A girl came near me. She had so much makeup on her face.

“Is makeup even allowed in school?” I thought.

Who cares? I was enjoying my food, yum.

"Heh, you fatty."

I looked up.

"Who is 'fatty'? Since you don’t talk to me, right?"

"Heh, I talk to you."

"Yes, we talk. But after recess, because I’m eating right now. Bye. See you later."

I smiled and went back to eating my food.

She paused.

Then suddenly—

"You little b*tch! How dare you insult me?!"

She slapped my plate off the table. It crashed to the ground.

Every student’s eyes turned to us.

The whole cafeteria fell silent

"Don’t You Know Who I Am?"

“Calm down, Grace. Don’t get angry… just calm down,” I whispered to myself.

“It’s your first day. Don’t pick a fight… just walk away.”

I quietly head toward the exit, trying to ignore the stares.

But—

“Hey! Don’t you listen? How dare you insult me! Don’t you know who I am?!”

Her voice echoed across the cafeteria.

I stopped and turned slowly.

“Wait. Calm down, Grace.”

She doesn’t even know that wasn’t my fault. She was doing that first to me…

I placed my hand on her shoulder and looked her dead in the eyes.

“Why did you throw my food?”

“Huh?! What are you saying?” she snapped back.

I took a deep breath.

“Stop saying nonsense. Don’t do this again. I’ll forgive you this time... but not next time.”

My voice was calm, but my glare was ice cold.

She froze.

I turned and walked out toward the café exit.

Snna followed behind me.

“Come with me,” she said.

And we left together.
