The Golden Temple, or Harmandir Sahib, is a mesmerizing sanctuary that stands as a beacon of spiritual tranquility and architectural splendor. Nestled in the heart of Amritsar, Punjab, this sacred shrine gleams with an ethereal golden glow, reflecting its grandeur in the serene waters of the Amrit Sarovar.
As you approach the temple, the sight of its gilded façade, adorned with intricate carvings and shimmering gold leaf, captivates the soul. The temple’s dome, crowned with a golden pinnacle, rises majestically against the azure sky, symbolizing the divine connection between heaven and earth.
The Harmandir Sahib’s marble pathways, inlaid with precious stones, on which stood Gurkiran gazing at the beauty of the place, as she wouldn't be able to look at its beauty for a long time now, as she was moving to Jaipur for her further studies.
She moved out of the place where her heart lies towards her open jeep, which held her luggage, and beside which stood her family.
Kiran- hey pushpa, I hate tears and u know na...
Harleen - but you never left for such a long time, how can I not cry?
Kiran- I will fine, Hitler, are u gonna stop Pushpa's tears or not?
Gurkawal- Okay, Harleen, our girl is going to be just fine, now stop crying, she needs to go or she will reach her campus late.
Kiran - Okay, where is soulmate?
Harleen- right there.
She said while pointing towards the passenger seat of her jeep, where her soulmate was sitting.
Kiran- soulmate, where is the gift you mentioned?
Jagir- here you are...
He said, giving me a kadda towards me.
Kiran- thanks, soulmate.
She said that, and her soulmate got off the jeep, and Gurkiran started her journey to Jaipur with Karan Ahuja blasting loudly.
When she reached Bikaner, she got stuck in the jam, and she heard someone say that it won't clear for an hour.
So, her being her turned up the volume and blasted Diljit Dosanjh's song Lalkarra and danced to the song on the road gap where a group of small boys also joined.
She enjoyed herself until the jam started moving and got halfway cleared out, she lowered the music volume, and again went on her way.
Obvious of the particular pair of green eyes staring at her, trying to look into her soul as if to figure her out.
She soon reached Jaipur, loving the beauty of the city, while admiring her surroundings, she entered her college.
Due to her interest in ancient architecture, she decided she wanted to restore the ancient, withered building back to its beauty, hence her choice of college.
She had a degree for 3 years only with 2-year course and 1 year working on some kind of project that will be assigned to her as she was there for her master's degree and due to being a brilliant student she was there to work on different places for the next 3 years that she was in Jaipur.
But her today's task was to settle in after registering her arrival and informing her professors.
She found the administration block on the huge campus after entering her info in the campus system. She left the campus after getting the paperwork and talking with her professors about the project she was to work on.
Due to her arriving today, she was given 2 days to settle in and was asked to get back to the campus so she could talk with the person whose property is to be restored.
After leaving the campus, I decided to first get my luggage to my room that my soulmate had arranged for me.
I was driving past the bus cross section when I saw a girl being harassed by a group of boys, and the girl was crying very badly.
I parked my car safely and ran back to the alley the girl had escaped to in hopes of losing the group, but they were still persistent were circled her trying to tease her and snatch her dupatta (cloth worn by Indian women on her head or with her clothes which is taken as a symbol of modesty).
I had had enough when one of them succeeded in snatching the dupatta off her. I ran towards her and stood in front of her like a shield. I removed my scarf, which was long enough to cover her, and gave her so she could cover herself from the dirty eyes of these stupid sex driven creatures.
I sneakily checked for my knife and gun to see if I had them on me or not in case things went out of my hands and I had to threaten them so save our lives, but I know I won't let it get to that point as it was a matter of women's pride.
And my GP taught me to protect the weaker and to protect the pride of a woman, even if it costs you your life.
Kiran - back off now. (I roared)
The boys got scared from my loud, courageous voice, daring them to fight me and warning them at the same time that they could get serious injuries, as I was not ready to back down without a fight.
A few of them backed off, and there were only 2 boys left, as they thought they could overpower me, as I was just a girl.
One of them tried to knock me out, but I was faster than he and kicked him in his balls, then the other one thought, as I was busy with his friend, he could touch her.
The poor girl was shivering with fear, and tears were streaming down her face. I signaled her not to make any type of move and moved behind the second guy and knocked him out while the first was still squirming in pain on the ground.
I slowly moved towards the guy on the floor and knocked him out as well, as I don't want to take any chances with him.
I called the police while I side hugged the girl to provide her a bit of comfort. As soon as the police arrived made the girl sit in my jeep and made sure to lock it and cover the jeep, so no one saw the girl.
Due to my cousins being influential, I called them while telling the incident from my point of view and making sure they didn't get a whiff of the girl being harassed, and I made it look like it was I who was being harassed.
After handling the situation, I got back in the jeep.
Kiran- (in a soft voice) Hey!
Girl- Hi.
Kiran - I have handled the situation; you do not need to worry about it at all. How about I take you to my new house, where you can rest up and call for your family to pick you up? How does that sound to you?
Girl- Okay.
I started the jeep and got my navigation back on, and we were on the way to my home for the next 3 years.
