Chapter-1
⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾
I always believed... maybe not love, but at least understanding would be there in my marriage.
Someone who’d see me... not ignore me like I didn’t exist.
But... even that dream shattered today.
Shay Agarwal (fl Father)
Avani, get ready. You’re getting married.
Avani Agarwal (fl)
What...? Papa, what are you saying?
Avani Agarwal (fl)
(My heart stopped.
This can't be real. Not like this. Not to someone I don’t even know.)
Shay Agarwal (fl Father)
(coldly) He’s coming to take you. I have no choice.
Moments later, the screech of luxury cars filled the silence outside.
Black SUVs. Shining, tinted, powerful.
Avani Agarwal (fl)
So many... Why so many?
My palms turned cold. My breath shaky.
Who is he? Who am I being given to...? Sold to...?
The main door opened. Heavy footsteps echoed through the marble floor.
One look at the house and I knew — these people were as heartless as the rumors said.
There she was. Standing quietly, dressed in a pale blue salwar. Her eyes wide with confusion... fear.
So this is Avani Agarwal.
Unknown
(calm, deep voice) She’s the one you told me about?(Eyes locked on her)
Shay Agarwal (fl Father)
(nodding quickly) Yes. She’s my daughter.
Avani Agarwal (fl)
Daughter? You remember that now? Only when selling me off...?
I didn’t move. My legs were frozen. My voice lost.
He stood up. So tall... maybe over 6'2. Strong build. Sharp jaw. Eyes like ice.
He started walking toward me.
Each step made the room smaller. I couldn’t breathe.
Avani Agarwal (fl)
W-Wait… Please… Who are you? What is happening?
Before I could say anything else, his hand grabbed mine — firm, cold, possessive
Unknown
(to her father) I’m taking her now.
Avani Agarwal (fl)
(panicked, pulling away)
No! Let go! Papa! Please! Stop him!
Maa!! Please don’t let this happen!!
Avani Agarwal (fl)
(I screamed.)
Avani Agarwal (fl)
(I begged.)
Avani Agarwal (fl)
(But no one even looked at me.)
My father turned his back and walked upstairs... like I was nothing.
My mother entered the kitchen, not a word, not even a glance.
Zain… my younger brother… walked to his room with his headphones on.
Avani Agarwal (fl)
(desperate) Zain! Please! You’re my brother…! Say something! Help me!
Zain Agarwal (fl Younger Brother)
(coldly) It’s better if you go.
Everything inside me cracked at once.
No one... no one even tried to stop him.
I was alone. Completely, terrifyingly alone.
His grip tightened. He didn’t say a word, just kept walking… pulling me behind him.
And I… I had no choice but to follow.
She smelled like jasmine.
Her wrist fit in my hand like it belonged there. Fragile. Too fragile.
She was terrified. I saw it.
But she didn’t know... she had just stepped into a world much darker than she could ever imagine.
As the door closed behind me, I realized
They didn’t sell their daughter today.
They threw her away like she never mattered.
