Aspen and Grissom were walking down the street about a block from her house and they hadn't spoken since Aspen had kissed Grissom other than when Aspen said they should get out of there, Aspen had no idea why she had kissed Grissom, he did have beautiful eyes and was a murderer like her, but she saw in his eyes he didn't really want to kill that boy, and he obviously didn't want to talk about it he also had a very calming voice, but that wasn't it Aspen got this strange feeling that washed over her like a wave when she first saw Grissom out of bed. she couldn't stop staring at him but it seemed neither could he so she just went with that feeling.
Aspen was so wrapped up in her thoughts she hadn't been walking very fast and Grissom was a ways ahead, so she took her chance she jogged up to Grissom and reached for his hand to hold, and Grissom just went with it holding her hand as well, Aspen could feel her face turning red she glanced at Grissom, he turned away as she looked but she knew he was staring normally Aspen would knock him off his feet and stabbed him multiple times in the chest, but she didn't seem to mind with Grissom she actually loved it she glanced at Grissom again but this time neither of them looked away, Aspen stared at his beautiful chocolate brown eyes and he stared right back into hers which made her feel all fuzzy inside, Aspen had never gotten this feeling but she liked it. Aspen heard sirens in the distance but they were coming closer both Grissom and Aspen turned toward the sound then Aspen ran into the nearby woods dragging Grissom behind her.
.........................................................................
Aspen and Grissom had been running through the woods for a while it was dark and they stopped at an opening in the trees, it was cold Aspen started to shiver and saw Grissom take off the hoodie she had given him, she noticed he was still wearing his bloody hoodie underneath, he walked over and pulled the hoodie onto Aspen, "why are you still wearing that hoodie?" she asked curiously "it was a friend of mines" Grissom answered looking at the ground "tell me about them" Aspen said. Grissom looked up saying nothing, she saw the tears in his eyes and changed the subject "so Michigan thats a ways away" "yeah" Grissom said going back to his silence. Aspen saw in his eyes he wasn't a killer, so why did he kill that boy? " I didn't want to" Grissom said suddenly as if reading her mind "kill that kid" "then why did you?" Aspen asked
" he disrespected him" he replied "disrespected who?" Aspen asked "m-my friend L-Landon" he said" "if you loved your friend enough to kill someone for him why didn't he come with you?" she said "h-he p-passed when we were s-seven" Grissom was crying softly now Aspen didn't know what to do "im sorry" she said gesturing for him to sit next to her she hugged him tightly, he hugged back tighter his grip was strong but Aspen liked it, it was strong but soft and gentle, it was comforting Aspen kissed Grissom on the cheek "why don't you sleep with me tonight, we'll need the warmth anyway" Grissom nodded his head and layed on the ground Aspen wiped his tears and layed next to him. facing each other on the cool grass they fell asleep staring into each other's eyes.
