CHAPTER FIVE: Two rude person

A month has passed since the day Astrid and Halley met Phoebe. Since that day they start to visit Phoebe every day without a miss for one month.

After Astrid and Halley saw Phoebe crying, a nurse came to the room, it was nurse Lyra who was assigned to Phoebe. Nurse Lyra told them about Phoebe and her situation.

From then on Astrid and Halley set their mind to visit Phoebe and help her and also they want to become friends with Phoebe.

At first, whenever they visit Phoebe, Phoebe would tremble because she was afraid of them. But as the day goes on Phoebe is slowly getting used to Astrid and Halley.

The three of them are the same age. Astrid was sent to the hospital because of an accident. She got a strain in her elbow and it will heal within three months. She got the strain because she was part of the baseball team in their school. She overworked herself and on the day when they had practiced her elbow started to hurt.

Her twin sister is just visiting her. On the day the three first met Astrid was running away because their mom wants a full body check-up since Astrid and Halley are already at the hospital.

Their mother just wants her children to have some check-up but since Astrid is afraid of needles poking her she can’t force her children to do a monthly or yearly check-up.

“Astrid! Halley! You are here too!” Kyle said while he walked inside the room. He did knock first but they were all immersed in Astrid story that they didn’t notice at all.

“The annoying guy is here!” Astrid said as she rolled her eyes and looked annoyed when seeing Kyle. “Astrid!” Halley scolds Astrid, she knew that Astrid was so annoyed at Kyle because of Kyle’s character.

Thinking of it Halley looked at the two, they have almost the same characteristics. They are both childish and active. It was just that Kyle loved teasing others while Astrid was just active and only loves to play around.

“Hi, Phoebe! How are you?” Kyle said smiling at Phoebe. He didn’t bother to notice what Astrid said. You could say that he was too lazy to fight with Astrid.

Kyle was a bit annoyed at the two siblings. He thinks that whenever he visited Phoebe and there was another visitor he felt that he was sharing the attention of Phoebe.

Astrid and Halley met Kyle on the fifth day they visited Phoebe. Kyle was there telling stories about some kind of vacation when he was a child. He was happy feeling Phoebe about it when suddenly Astrid and Halley barged in.

Few minutes have passed since Kyle visited. He was sitting on the couch, his usual sitting place whenever he came and visited. He was listening to Astrid who is telling a story about her game in baseball.

Someone knocked at the door and opened it. A nurse came in; she was nurse Portia. She was also assigned to take care of Phoebe. Whenever Lyra is out for work, her replacement is Portia.

Portia leaves the door wide open for a while because she will leave as soon as she finishes what she needs to do. She was busy today, many patients are going in and out of the hospital.

Outside the door, two people passed by and stopped in front of the door of Phoebe’s room. The two girls walked inside the room without notice at all, as if they owned the place.

“It isn’t the top one ***** of our school when we are in high school,” the girl on the right said. She was smiling, a bright smile could see on her face.

‘SELENA?’ Phoebe looked at the girl on the left. She saw her friend or you could say, her ex-friend.

“Who are you two?” Astrid asked in a very mad tone. ‘What a rude woman are they! They just walked in like they owned the place and even called Phoebe a *****!’ Astrid thought to herself while looking at the two rude people.

“You don’t need to know. But do you know who that girl is?” Selena said with a provoking voice.

“As if you know Phoebe!” Halley said she was annoyed at the two rude people who just walk in casually. She never thought she would see two shameless people in the hospital.

“Excuse me, you too are not allowed here! And you are not allowed to fight inside the hospital” Portia said, she was a bit mad when the two people suddenly walked inside the room and said annoying remarks.

“You are just a nurse here! Who allowed you to talk to your patients like that! HUH!” the girl beside Selena said. She was angered by what the nurse and Halley said.

“This is a private room and I think the patient is not welcoming you! and so what if you are a patient” Portia has a mad tone. She always sees some patients who are mighty and full of self in the hospital.

“You dare say that!” the girl beside Selena was enraged at Portia. She was never treated like this before. She was the daughter of one of the doctors in the hospital and most of her father’s colleagues treat her very well.

“Renna” Selena called her. Selena was worried about Renna who is enraged right now.

Some patients heard the commotion and went to see what was happening. Phoebe who was silently in the bed was trembling, and everyone could notice it. She saw a crowd of people at the door watching the commotion inside her room.

What is worse is she saw the two people who made her life a living hell. She wants to jump in the window. She thought she would be okay but when she saw the two people in front of her she became afraid once more.

“If you don’t leave I will just call the guard to drag you two away” A voice calm as the sea said. He was within the crowded people.

Selena saw that many people were watching them so she dragged Renna out of the room and left…
