chapter 5 : caught

Zain's POV

The detective left quite in a hurry. I wonder if he's really framing my sister, but I can't be sure about it. So, I need to start my own investigation. Detective Zain's investigation. Well, I have always wanted to do an investigation of my own, but I didn't think that opportunity would hit me like this. Well, well no need to feel so proud right away it hasn't even started too much excitement before even starting brings nothing but despair.

Author's POV

"I have to do this, I have to do this, I have to do this." The man in the shadow kept chanting it because he Must do it.

"She's the culprit, she's the culprit yes yes she's the culprit I know it she's the culprit." And he kept saying it like he's life depended on it.

Inaya's POV

I came home late because of the job interview. I'm so tired that I feel like if I lay my back on the bed I'll fall asleep right away.

Knock knock

My heart thumped at the knocking. Who could be at this late at night. I slowly opened the door.

"What nonsense is this?" I said, being irritated. Then I looked down by chance and saw a piece of paper.Oh, please I don't want to end up like those mystery story female leads.

I prayed as I opened the letter . That's it. It's exactly what I feared a warning.

"Is the evidence really disappearing? Is this even possible? What do you think Inaya?" Is what the letter said this handwriting I know it. It's none other than her.

"What?! What do you mean the evidence has reappeared ?"Inaya snapped.

"It's exactly as you heard sisi. The detective called today and said that the evidence is reappearing . Aaaaand why are you snapping at me,what's my fault in here?" Zain replied back scrunching his nose.

"Don't scrunch you nose. Also yea, it's not hour fault I know it. But I'm just so frustrated these days I'm sorry baby brother. But don't you think it's weird that those evidence is reappearing?

"Of course! That's what is bugging me too. Do you think the detective could be behind it?"Zain said squinting his eyes.

"You think so too?"Inaya also said in the same manner.

"Yes." Zain said.

"So does that mean?...haha leave it who are you kidding?"Inaya said busting out in laughter.

"Yea... Who are you kidding?" Zain also said with a sheepish kind of a suspicious smile.

"Do you really not doubt that detective,sisi?"Zain said with a serious face.

"Well , it's not that I never did but if I start doubting the detective too,who's gonna save me?It scares me so, I let go of this possibility."

"Ahh, I see..." Zain decided not to push any further.
