The Sad News

**Highlights of the previous episode**

In the previous episode,

Chengshi did a ritual to call its ancestor's soul to save the unborn child. She already knew that the child will be in danger. She asked the soul to protect the child and she can offer him anything he wants but just save that child. That soul agreed to save the child but on one condition. Chengshi has no choice but to accept the condition.

On the road where the accident happened, the shadow was about to harm the child but the ancestor’s soul saved the child and told her that they will meet again.

An old lady passing through there saw the accident and called the ambulance. They all went to the hospital. The doctor attended to the patients they were dead and on the doctor’s suggestion the old lady adopted that child and took her from there.

** The current scene **

At the chuan’s house,

After Chengshi finished the ritual and was thinking about her kids and grandchild she started to cry.

She was crying and thinking about what I have done, I gave up my grandchild.

I just hope that she will always be safe.

Whatever it takes to keep that child safe I should do that.

I know that my grandchild has to face many things in her life I just hope that she will be happy and safe.

The ritual is done so I think that child is safe for now but what should I do.

I should go and check out everything.

But what if I go and they came what will I do then?

It’s I will do whatever I can do but first I have to go and check out how’s everyone in the hospital.

The next morning,

Chengshi took her things and left for the hospital.

When she arrived at the hospital everything there was in a mess. There were lots of accidents that day and the hospital was full of patients and the doctors and nurses were all busy attending to the patients there.

Chengshi asked a nurse if there were any patients that came there who could be her son and daughter-in-law.

But the nurse was busy and didn’t reply to her words and ignored her.

Chengshi then asked another nurse she also ignored her.

Chengshi started to cry there as no one was answering her and she was getting worried.

The doctor on the duty saw Chengshi and goes near her.

Doctor: elder whom you are looking for?

There was an accident nearby so everything here is a mess.

Everyone is busy handling the patient right now you please sit down and calm down I will send someone to help you. Just sit on this chair.

Chengshi: I am looking for my son and daughter-in-law. My daughter–in–law was about to give birth so they left home to come here.  I have been asking everyone here but no one is answering my question. I don’t even know where they are and how the child is right now.

Doctor: I also don’t know anything about that. I am also on emergency duty right now I will send someone here. Please don’t worry they will be fine somewhere.

Chengshi just sat on the chair there.

Doctor left from there and send a nurse to help the elder.

Nurse: elder I am here to help to just tell me whom you are looking for and what can I help you with?

Chengshi: I am looking for my son and daughter- in law. They left home as my daughter-in-law was about to give birth.

Nurse: Only one couple came here but.......

Chengshi: But what?

Nurse: But they were in a huge accident and only the child survived.  We waited for the family but the family didn’t come.

There was a granny with them who decided to adopt the newborn child. Her son and daughter-in-law died two months ago and she was all alone so the doctor asked her about the adoption. They agreed and she adopted the child.

Chengshi was crying and asking her with tears in her eyes are you saying that my children died in an accident and my grandchild was adopted by someone?

How can this be?

This can’t be?

This can’t be happening?

Just call the doctor here?

I want to talk to him?

How can he do that to my grandchild and leave her for adoption?

I want to meet him.

I want to see my son and daughter-in-law.

I want to see them right now.

Take me to them. I was to see them.

I want to see them.

Sobbing and crying.

I want to see them.

Nurse: I will take you to confirm the identities of the bodies we don’t know yet if they are your son and daughter-in-law. Please come with me.

Chengshi and the nurse went to the morgue room to identify the bodies.

At the morgue, the nurse shows the bodies to Chengshi.

Chengshi saw the bodies and found them of her son and daughter-in-law. She cries aloud as she loud she can for some time. Then she asked the nurse about her grandchild.

The nurse said that the accident was huge but there was not a single scratch on the child. It was a girl child. It was like a miracle that she survived.

Chengshi: where is my grandchild?

Who took her?

I want to know who took her.

Nurse: please wait on the chair outside the morgue. I will go and call the doctor for you.

The nurse left from there.

After 10 minutes the nurse and the doctor came to the morgue room but no one was there.

They both looked at each other.

Doctor: where is the person who wanted to talk to me?

Where is she?

Nurse: I don’t know doctor she was here. I told her to wait here.

Doctor: who was she?

Nurse: doctor do you remember the case that came yesterday the couple with an accident and the child you gave for adoption.

Doctor: Yes, I remember.

Nurse: she was the grandmother of that newborn child. She was here, asking about her family.

Doctor: Oh, then where did she go?

Nurse: I also don’t know.

Doctor: It’s ok, just make sure if she comes again or you find her take her to meet me. I will be waiting for her. I am going now. I have a patient to attend to.

Nurse: ok doctor.

The doctor leaves from there.

Nurse: where did she go? She was so desperate to meet the doctor and now she vanished into thin air. It’s weird. I can only wait for her. I should also get engage in my work again.
