MAWANG:

(Shrugs, not looking at her) "I'm fine. Just tired."

MAYA:

Well... Seonghwa. He really has a way of making everything about himself, doesn't he?"

(Mawang tenses, but she says nothing, her focus still on her phone.)

MAYA:

(Softly) "You know, Mawang... You're a smart girl. You don't need someone like him. He's not the type of guy who's going to be there for you when you need him."

(Mawang finally looks at Maya, but her face is unreadable.)

MAWANG:

"What are you talking about?"

MAYA:

(Smiling to herself) "I mean, you've seen how he is with women. He only dates them for one night—just a little fun, and then he's done. He's not looking for anything serious. Not with you, not with anyone."

MAYA:

(Pressing on) "I'm just saying, Mawang, you deserve someone who's not going to play with your feelings. You don't need this drama, this uncertainty. You deserve better than him."

(Mawang clenches her fists, trying to fight off the confusion building inside her. She looks at Maya, searching for something, anything, to tell her she's wrong.)

MAWANG:

"You don't know Seonghwa."

MAYA:

(Leaning in, voice soft) "I know enough. I know he's a player, and I know he's not what you need. Don't waste your time, Mawang."

(Mawang looks down at her hands, her mind spiraling. She wants to believe Maya is wrong, but a small part of her wonders if she's telling the truth.)

MAYA:

"He's going to hurt you. I promise you that. And when he does, I'll be here. I'm the one who cares. I'm the one who will always be here for you."

MAWANG'S POV:

The words hang in the air like a dark cloud. Maybe Maya's right. Maybe I'm just another one of Seonghwa's fleeting moments. Maybe he doesn't care as much as I want to believe. Maybe I've been fooling myself,cause will she actually care for me? because Maya like Seonghwa could it be that she planned all of this? I don't even know at this point what do I do?!)

Should I? Should I talk to him about it? but what if it's actually true? I am not ready to hear it cause it might hurt and break me.
