Chapter 1: Left Behind Written by StriX

On September 19th, 2001, Ragnar attempted to save a person, but he failed. The almighty, the God, was lost. Kenji finally won, but at the highest possible price. So, does the victory even matter? NO!

How did we get here? And who is Ragnar? To know this, we have to go back in time to when our protagonist, Kenji Izawa Hakiri, was only a teenage ninja school student.

On April 30th, 1980, right after the first battle of blood, the story begins on Kamiri Island. Kenji, a short-tempered teen boy not powerful enough to fight others, was going home after filling a jar with water from the River Serin. His father, Izawa Hakiri, was stuck to bed, suffering from an unknown disease. The doctors did not treat him because he was a ninja. Humans hated ninjas, considering them aliens.

Kenji entered his house and saw something that was going to change his path. The jar fell from Kenji's hand after seeing his father on the verge of death. There were four masked ninjas trying to kill his father. Izawa was trying his best to defend himself, but his illness was stopping him from doing so. Kenji was so shocked to see this, he just shouted with the last air left in his lungs, "Dad!!!!" He tried his best to save him, but what could a 15-year-old boy do in front of four well-trained, powerful ninjas? He tried to punch one of them with his skinny hand, but that ninja broke his hand.

The situation was already pretty much out of control, but then all of a sudden, something happened in a flash. The legendary curse took over Kenji and blasted the house. The curse cut that ninja's left hand with his knife. The curse was out of control, complementing the situation. The curse roared and said, "Ren mask? I also know how to use ren, let me show you so that you can believe in my words." The curse then punched the same ninja after coating his fist with ren and smashed his face. Ren is the spiritual energy of any ninja. The wounded ninja instantly healed and ran towards his mates. One of them tried to punch the curse but got his head smashed by a gas cylinder in the hands of the curse; one of his mates healed him. They were all sweating because of the terror of the curse. One of them thought of fighting the curse, but the ninja next to him (looking like the leader) stopped him, and they all teleported somewhere. The curse roared out as loudly as an elephant and then disappeared gradually.

Kenji's brother, Hokori Hakiri, also reached the place and found his brother grieving in pain, guilt, and sorrow. He was shocked to see the scene. He then started sobbing, gradually leading to crying. The news spread: "The greatest teacher of ninjas, Izawa Hakiri, had left the world and went to heaven to rest, leaving behind two kids that will change the world." But can they survive in this world full of monsters ready to eat them?
