Chapter 1

*Ava*

  I was busily engrossed in my work trying to find a good and juicy caption which would make the headlines, when I spotted Michelle coming my way, I knew immediately that trouble followed her.

  "You're needed at the director's office"; she said in a sassy tone, not bothering to hide the disgusted look on her face. She made sure to draw everyone's attention to me, inciting rumors and ridiculous controversies of a so called office romance I'm having with the director which was clearly not so.

  Making sure to shut down my computer, I left for the office totally ignoring the stares and whispers coming my way, as I knocked and entered, a cup came flying towards my direction, missing me by a hair's strand.

  "What is this trash you claim as news?!! Who do you expect to read such nonsense!? Kids? or Dogs?! Even dogs wouldn't stope so low"; he said enraged as his anger suddenly subsided

  "Ava, I didn't put you in charge of this because I favour you, you simply met the qualifications for the project but I didn't expect you to disappoint me this much, I know what you're capable of doing that's why you've got the look"; he said taking steps closer to me, tucking my hair behind my ear "Instead of wasting your beauty sleeping around with insignificant men, why don't you put it to better use"; he emphasized on the last word. This piece of sh*t referred to me as a wh*re. I clenched my fist tightly try so hard to hold back my anger, he grabbed me by the neck suddenly, pressing me against the door.

  "This is your last warning Ava, get the story or I send you packing. Now get the f*ck out of my office!"; he yelled in anger. I quietly walked out of his office, closing the door behind me not knowing whether to return to my post or just quit the f*cking job.

  I could feel the stares of those parasites, ready to chew down on any piece of gossip they lay hands on. I walked off, locking myself in one the cubicles of the ladies restroom trying to let off some steam.

   "Omg, did you see the look on her face? Lol, she looked like someone who got pee splashed all over their face"

  "I know like eww, b*tch finally got what she deserved. I couldn't stand her being all arrogant because she is the director's favorite"

  "Favorite? More like favorite little s*x doll"; she laughed. "Such a sl*t, imagine the number of men she had f*cked to get to were she is now "

  "Girl tell me about it, treating wh*res like her as queens and more capable people like us as trash. She really disgusts me, like barf"; she laughed on.

  "If I see her again, I'd rip that b*tch like plastic of her fac-

  "Why don't you try doing so I'm right here"; I said walking out the cubicle, grabbing her by the hair. "Since you love yourself so much like a sacred treasure and see others as filth, why don't we put it to the test"; I said, dragging her forcibly to the water closet, watching as she yelled in vain.

  "Ava! You f*cking b*tch! Let go of me!"; she raged on. Facing such a predicament, she still had the voice to tell out cuss words. I shoved her head in the water closet, flushing it serval times over watching as she swallowed galloons of water trying to break free. She had the mouth to speak bullshit but lacked the strength to back it up, pathetic. I repeatedly flushed it over and over again until she had passed out, washed my hands and left in a hurry seeing as how the other girl fled, I was sure she had gone to alert everyone.

  Due to the scene I had I caused leaving everyone in chaos, I used that to my advantage and slipped out with my stuff.
