Episode 2

Chunhua stares in horror at Li Na's motionless body. Drops of warm tears rolled down her eyes as she watched in shock the blood spread on the brothel's woolly floor.

It took Chunhua a few seconds to awaken from her shock. She pitifully glances at Li Na before running out of the room.

"The first miss committed suicide to prove her innocence!" Chunhua screamed like a mad person as she ran around into the hallway.

People's attention drew to Chunhua as she continued yelling and sobbing, and many people followed her to find out what was occurring.

She ran until she met the prime minister and the third prince heading out of the building with Xiu Yin, Wang Li, and Wang Yan following them.

"Prime Minister! The first lady had killed herself to prove her innocence. Her body is lying in the room." Chunhua cried as she tried to catch her breath.

"What are you talking about, maid? You must have been possessed by an evil spirit to speak evil against the Chen family. We all caught another man above Li Na, so how is she innocent? Are you trying to say that we bullied her into killing herself? Guards take this maid outside and beat her to death!" The prime minster screamed with rage in his eyes.

"Li Na must have felt guilty, which is why she committed suicide. The shame and disgrace she had brought to the Chen name were too extreme for her to bear, so she tried to escape through death." Wang Yan nervously announced.

"That's true. Li Na was a humiliation to the prime minister's household, and it was her shame that made her kill herself." Someone in the crowd shouted, and everyone nodded their heads in agreement with that person.

The brothel got boisterous with chit-chat about what had happened to Li Na. Everyone had different words to express, but none of them were in about the kindness of Li Na. They all had a lot of tremendous things to say about her.

"Let's go and see what truly happened to Li Na." Li Jie said before walking back to the room, and everyone else followed him.

When they reached the place where Li Na lies, nobody had compassion in their eyes for her. They were so focused on judging her instead of showing sympathy to a poor soul.

"Check her pulse to see if she's breathing and report back to me." The prime minister whispers into a guard's ears.

After he checked, the guide returned and whispered back to the prime minister. "Li Na is still alive, even though her pulse is quite weak."

The prime minister let out a sigh and wore a grievous expression on his face.

"I am sorry to announce that my disown daughter Li Na is dead. Since she is no longer part of the Chen family, we can't allow her to be buried in the family graveyard or have a proper burial."

The room was tense as people voiced their opinion that the prime minister was valid for denying his disgraced child to be buried among his great ancestor.

"Fen, make sure you dump her body in the abandoned graveyard and allow her to talk her last breath there." The prime minister coldly murmured back to the guard, and Fen nodded in obedience.

Fen and two other guards wrapped Li Na's unconscious body in the blanket from the bed and took her to the abandoned graveyard as their master had commanded them. They deposited her among the broken gravestones and left.

The morning turned into evening, and Li Na did not take her last breath until it was midnight. She gave in to death, and her body became cold. However, when the cloud stopped covering the moon and its light shone Li Na, her heart started beating slowly, then faster until it became stable.

Li Na nails claw into the earth, and her lashes flicker. "Ouch!" She cried when her eyes suddenly opened, and a sharp pain circulated through her body.

Li Na slowly sat up and confusedly gazed around the area. She saw nothing but dirt, trees, and a bunch of gravestones. Ji Na took her time to stand up from the ground. Her entire body was in pain, and nothing made sense to her at that moment.

"What the hell is going on? I remember that I was on a secret mission, and I got shot because my cover got blown. So what am I doing in such a deserted place?"

Li Na looked down at her clothes and noticed that they were ancient attire.

"Is this some freak show where they make your customer player some dumb character? Okay, guys. You can come out now! I am not falling for your terrible joke." Li Na said with a giggle. But deep inside, she knew something was not right.

The wind blew across Li Na's face, and she tried to pull back her hair when she noticed that her short hair was gone, and she now had long hair.

"Is this a wig?"

Li Na pulled her hair hard and shouted. "Ouch. Damn it! It's real."

"Owooooo!" The wolves in the woods howled.

"Guys, this is not funny anymore. I can see the humor in the ugly ancient clothes and the new hairdo, but not the wolves. Get me out of this messed up place. I felt filthy and needed to take a shower in my apartment."

"Owooooo!" The sound was closing in on her, and Li Na could see one white and another gray pair of eyes in the darkness. When they came closer, Li Na saw two black wolves approach her with unrivaled speed.

Li Na did not have time to think. The wolf jumps on her, and its claws penetrate the skin on her chest, and blood flows out.

It opened its mouth and was about to sink its teeth into her flesh when Li Na grabbed it by the face and plucked her finger into one of its eyes.

The wolf drew away from her and groaned. The other one flew toward her, but Li Na slid down and punched it from the stomach, sending it falling again the tree.

The two wolves ran in fear after she attacked them.

"Ouch, this pain from my wound sure feels real. Let me get this straight, I am wearing ancient clothes, my hair is different, and my energy feels so weak that I could barely handle two wolves. The only logical explanation of this situation is that I 'Huang' had died and time-traveled from the twenty-first and arrived in ancient times."

The cold breeze wafted strongly from every direction and raised the dust of the ground into the air, but Li Na was not startled by this because her mind remained focused on figuring out what happened to her.

"Chang would be so jealous if he knew I time-traveled. Wait! Shouldn't I have the owner of this body memory since I am in her body like it happens in those comics I used to love reading?"

Within that moment, the effects of the benzodiazepine wore off for in La Na's system, and her amnesia was cured. Li Na's memories became flowing thought her mind like a series of tortures. Every single one of her memories had nothing but misery in it.

"You poor thing. You have nothing and nobody to live for in your lifetime. But since I am using your body, I promise to give you vengeance death denial you of and payback your hurts with your enemies' tears and blood."
