Episode 4

Ancient Egypt

Morning came. Adonis was suddenly  woken up by the two soldiers of the Pharaoh.They told him to get ready immediately in order to attend to the meeting room . When he was ready they escorted him there , where his father was already talking with some men. When Pharaoh saw his son he told him to come closer.

Adonis: Father what's going on?

Pharaoh: Adonis ! Just in time !

Adonis: what's happening?

Pharaoh: How come you don't remember? We agreed that you'll have to choose your future wife.

Adonis : What? No! we didn't agreed to anything . Basically you ordered me to do this . I tried to decline but you didn't listen!

Pharaoh: HOW IMPOLITE! How dare you speak like that in front of our guests. They are the descendants of some very influential families.

Adonis: Father i told you ! i won't do something i don't want to AND drag someone else in this pointless situation . I'm leaving right now! '' starts leaving''

Pharaoh: ''furious'' Adonis! Get back here! NOW!

But Adonis had already left the meeting room.

Pharaoh: I am truly sorry for my sons impoliteness . I hope that our cooperation will not be ruined.

Men: Your Highness we are afraid that our time is limited . The prince has to decide as soon as possible. We will await for your answer  till the end of the  flood of  river Nile.

Pharaoh : I see . You may leave now.

Palace gates

 An hour had passed from when Adonis met his father . Still , the two soldiers were guarding the door.

Adonis:''sighs'' It's all my father's plan. He knew that i wanted to go outside the palace and ordered his guards to look for me and to prevent me from going to the market

Suddenly Azar came . Today he was in the palace under Pharaoh's orders in order to attend the meeting But by the time he got to the meeting room nobody was there.

He sneakingly got closer to Adonis.

Azar : What are you doing?

Adonis : ''scared '' What are YOU doing here .

Azar : I came this morning so as  to attend your meeting. I guess i was late. How did it go.

Adonis : What do you mean . I didn't even bother to speak with them. I can't do this anymore.

Azar : Relax . It's just political marriage .

Adonis: Can you please stop!

Azar:  okay okay...I know what will cheer you up . Lets go!

Adonis : Where?

Azar : Why...to the market of course!

Market

The two boys went to the market.While they were looking around for their friend Seti Azar broke the silence.

Azar: So... what are you gonna do on your birthday? They're coming in a week from now.

Adonis : Right .My birthday . Ah.. I don't know. I assume my father will invite some of the princes of our neighboring kingdoms to celebrate the flood of river Nile and the *Arrival of Hapi

Azar : so the perfect opportunity to escape and celebrate your birthday.AND to spent the Summer Solstice out of the palace.

Adonis**:''smiles''... maybe.

*Arrival of Hapi:The annual flooding of the Nile occasionally was said to be the Arrival of Hapi.[1] Since this flooding provided fertile soil in an area that was otherwise desert, Hapi symbolised fertility.

Summer Solstice( 21 of june) : 1st day of the flood of river Nile , which lasted for 100 days
