Episode 4

A faint sound.

Like something dragging across the glass.

I jolted awake. My eyes flew open. I stared at the window.

Everything was still. Too still.

But that sound… it was real.

I got up, walked toward the window again.

And there it was.

A smudge—no, a fingerprint.

Rain was sliding down the glass, but I could clearly see it…

Someone had written something with their finger.

It said: “Lia…”

My breath caught in my throat.

My hands trembled.

I took a step back.

My heart was pounding in my ears.

No… I wasn’t dreaming.

I opened the window.

The cold, damp night air rushed into the room.

Outside, nothing.

Just the empty street. Quiet.

Rain drizzling down softly.

The name written on the glass was slowly washing away.

“It’s just in your head, Lia… just your imagination…”

I whispered to myself.

I shut the window gently.

Took a deep breath.

A tired sort of emptiness weighed in my chest.

I turned back toward the bed.

But I only took two steps—

And froze.

He was there.

In the middle of my room.

The mysterious man. Standing still, drenched from the rain.

His hair clung to his forehead. His clothes soaked.

And his eyes… God, those eyes.

Like they held all the secrets of the world.

No words came out of my mouth.

Even my breath forgot how to come and go.

His lips parted slightly.

As if he was about to speak.

But neither of us said a word.

Just silence.

Just the rain.

Just… that gaze.

He stood in the center of my room like he belonged there.

I know it sounds dramatic, but for a moment—

It felt like the world cracked open.

Like this wasn’t real.

A man, soaked from the rain, in the bedroom of a girl who was just dancing two minutes ago?

Seriously?

I stepped back—not from fear. From shock.

“Who are you? How did you even get in? The door was locked!”

My voice shook slightly, but I held firm.

I wasn’t going to let him think I was scared.

He didn’t answer.

He just looked at me.

That deep, knowing look…

As if he saw something in me I didn’t even know was there.

I asked again:

“Answer me! Who are you?!”

Finally, he spoke.

His voice low, strange, calm.

“Come. Just come. It’s time.”

I frowned.

“Come? Where? What kind of joke is this? Answer my damn questions first!”

He stood there, completely unbothered, as if he hadn’t just stepped straight into my private world… and said:

“You have to come with me.

Only you can make me whole.”

I let out a nervous laugh.

“Oh, right. Of course. A ghost guy shows up in the middle of the night, knows my name, refuses to answer questions, and now says ‘come with me’?

Sorry, Mr. Ghost, I’m not really in the mood for creepy nonsense tonight.”

A faint chuckle escaped his lips.

God… why, despite all the madness, did something inside me pull toward him?

He was about to say something else—

But then a voice called out:

“Lia? Who are you talking to? Are you okay?”

Shit.

That was Mary.

I must’ve spoken louder than I thought.

I turned my head slightly, about to answer—

But in a sudden blur, he was right in front of me.

Not threatening.

More like someone racing against time.

Before I could even react,

He swept me off my feet—literally—

And with a single, effortless leap…
