NEW HOME

With all the strength she has left after running, Belle finally reached her uncle's address. She leaned on the wall due to exhaustion and took a couple of deep breaths. As she was about to hit the doorbell, the gate opened and saw his uncle's wrinkled face and squinting eyes. "Hi uncle! I'm sorry I reached home late. I.." she wasn't even finished explaining when somebody cut her off. "Now. Now. It's your first day here. It wouldn't be good to our family's reputation if you'll stand there outside. You better talk inside the house", the old lady said.

The old man instructed Belle about the rules and other basics about the location where a specific thing can be found in that house. As he shows her the room she will be occupying, he pointed some rooms and look at her. "Do not dare to peek or infiltrate those rooms okay. My wife and daughter doesn't want somebody else to step in their specific rooms. Do you get me?" he said. She nodded as a sign of understanding and then thanked him for taking her under his wing. As she was about to ask his uncle where is his daughter, the old woman yelled, "If you're done talking, come down now and let's eat before the food gets cold!" With that being said they both went to the dining area and have the meal. The two adults start a conversation. They talked cheerfully and Belle responded in a happy notion, too. She asked them about their daughter "If you don't mind my asking, where's your daughter? I didn't think I saw her when I reached home". The old man smiled slyly and said, "She's very busy with academics and always finishes her classes late, so she usually do sleep over in her friend's house" with the emotion on their faces, she knew that these people misses their daughter so much. She entertained them and asked them about other things, then the topic went back to their family and there they described their daughter. Upon hearing them talk, there are only few words that stucked in her mind-- "She's very pretty, friendly and kind. She does her tasks well and she somehow mentioned about how lovely it would be if she had a sister. And now that you're here with us, we really do hope you two will get along well." Belle understood what the adults would like to happen, so she smiled as a courtesy and responded, "I do hope so too".

It took them some more time chit-chatting. She did helped her uncle's wife--Julie--in washing the dishes. After doing so, she then excused herself and in a rush went towards her room. "I sure did ate a lot 'cause they told me to... Now I'm having a stomach ache! I should've controlled myself and refrained from eating too much.." whispering, "But this family isn't that bad though. I just hope I could get along with their only daughter", then let out a deep sigh.

She started to unbox her stuff, fix them and place them in the cabinet and side table, she did changed the bedsheets and pillow cases as well. As she opened the last small box, she saw her mother and her together in the picture. Tears started to form in her eyes as she remembered the day of the accident. She still couldn't accept the fact that her mother's gone--instead she thinks of her just being far away from home. Letting the tears fall, she gathered all the things left in the box, arranged them and did pile the books in the corner of the table. Grabbing hold to the only memory of her mom, she hugged it tight as she lay down the bed. Right at this moment, she couldn't stop her tears 'cause even she--herself couldn't help but to break down and cry. "M-mom... p-please..." she uttered while sobbing. "I m-miss y-you..." she said as she closed her eyes. Without even realizing, she fell asleep whilst aching.
