"Who are you, woman?"

A hard, growling voice woke me up. I felt his weight on me as he pushed me down the couch by pushing my head down.

I can feel my skull almost cracking by his pressure.

"Let go, I saved you!" I shouted at him. His glistening blue eyes almost bore a hole through my head.

I fell asleep in the couch after I brought him home, huh.

"What a fucking way to repay your savior, ... Max." My heart pounded in distress. His grip tightened as his eyebrow twitched.

He jumped off me, almost falling down. I immediately sat up and breath normally.

"Where am I?" His voice echoed.

"My house or should I say my world" The latter made him confused.

"Your world?"

"You're Maxillian, right?" I tightly gripped my pants.

He stood up straight and scoffed. He turned away from me and lifted his hands. After a minute passed, he choked me down again.

"What the fuck!" I shouted at him.

"What type of magic did you surround us with?! Anti-magic?!"

"What magic?!"

"My mana is gone! My techniques don't work! You must be an assassin sent to kill me!"

"You fuck shit! I said this is my world!" His sudden confusion and weak state made me able to push him off.

I coughed and glared at him.

"Magics is such a ridiculous thing in this world. This is where your magics don't work." I stated.

He squinted his eyes as if trying to figure out the truth.

"Just…sleep. We'll talk tomorrow." I laid down again.

"I could kill you." He threatened me.

"Go on. And never find out where the fuck you are."

"Wake up, Max." I kicked his side that made him glare at me.

We ate the breakfast I made 'peacefully' after I gaslighted him.

"You suddenly jumped on me last night. You're wounded so I brought you here."

"How did I?" He just remembered the portal he saw. "Is the portal yours?"

"What portal?" I took a bite of the hotdog and stared at him.

"The blue portal"

"I don't know? I am a normal human, bro" I scoffed at him.

But then the window I made with my hand?

"Bullshit, take me back to my world." He pointed his sword at me.

I froze, and the hotdog dropped from my mouth.

"What…where the fuck did that come from?!"

"Take me back!" He pushed the sword at my neck. I can feel the steel.

"Bro, I don't know!" I put my hands up. "I don't even know How you got here!"

"The blue portal! Make it again!" He glared.

"What portal?!!! I said I don't know!"

We spent the morning arguing and I almost died every time he asks something.

"Don't get out of the house." I explained everything about this world to him. I need to go to the university.

"I am warning you." I slammed the door and left.

I made him bath and change into my other super baggy clothes, but it is freaking fit to him.

"Why do I need to take care of him.." I mumbled and sulked while the professor teaches

That guy is from a novel. My friend recommended it to me. I wandered the campus in search of that friend. I didn't really read it and I need the book from my friend.

My eyes lit up in happiness as I finally saw her. I ran up to her and excused her to her other friends.

"Rei, the novel. I want to read the novel." I desperately stated.

"huh, what novel?" She looked at me confused. She must have read so many novels.

"The one you recommended to me!"

She opened her bag and go through her collection. She keeps her novels in her bag as she does not trust her little brother at home.

She lined up all of her novels at the ground. I froze.

"It's not here. The one with the villain with blue eyes!"

"I don't know what you're talking about, Yuki." she looked at me with such confusion in her eyes.

"Rei, the uhm..The weak heroine! That one!"

"I have never heard such novel. Are you sure I recommended it to you?"

"Yes! Look this one." I grabbed my phone and searched it up.

'The weak heroine.'

I froze on the spot. My head overflowed with so many what ifs and at the same time my head overflowed with so many emotions. Fear? Confusion? Excitement?

The search showed 'No results'

No pictures.

Not even a single website.

I ran around the campus asking about my other friends who talked about that same novel.

I stopped on my tracks and felt the world stopped. They all had the same answer.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

The novel had been erased from the world. From the memories of other people. From everything.

I felt so...

so

So

SO

Special.

It is only I, in this world, who remembers that book.
