Ch-1 You will leave me?

Hey....I am the author of course! It's my second work and my first novel! English isn't my first language so I am sure I would make many mistakes while writing....I am sorry for that in advance.

My story is completely based on my imagination. If you don't like it...I would kindly suggest not reading it , because everyone has their own likes and dislikes, obviously. Opinions on the characters are welcomed, but no hate would be either welcome or tolerated on the work or on me.

The idea and lines completely belong to me...but the pictures used are not mine so credits go to the rightful owners. I would be grateful if there is no usage of my story or storyline whatsoever and wherever.

A girl stood infront of the window looking down at the boy waving at her.

Her face lacked any signs of emotions she turned back to find the door of her room open as she ran outside to bid a final farewell to her brother, a step-brother more specifically, and the only person who treated her as a human in the whole house.

"You are leaving me?" she whispered as she ran towards him

"I will come back for you di...I will come back for you please wait for me..." the little boy hugged her. (di\= elder sister)

He broke the hug and looked at her with a reassuring smile

"but till I come back" he looked back and another boy around his age popped his head out of nowhere , with a bright smile on his face. "he will play with you di!"

The girl took a glance at the boy and nudged her brother. "Oh...he is ill? Poor boy"

That boy's face became sour ,he kept his hands on his waist ready to throw hand.

"Umesh, you said your sister doesn't talk much. How come she is insulting me as soon as she saw me huh?"

"You are not ill? I am sorry... seeing your face I thought you are ill..." she looked down embarrassed.

The boy's face became red as he gasped and glowered dramatically. "You ..You....how can you say this! I am such a handsome boy! I think you are just jealous"

Umesh smacked the boy's head.

 "Talk respectfully! She is my elder sister which makes her your elder sister too. Now listen to me. Look after my sister while I am away and you better protect her! I will teach you a lesson if you don't do it" he says showing his fist

That boy rolled his eyes off

"Fine! But she's just three years older!"

 the boy pouted and crossed his arm only to get a glare by Umesh.

Suddenly a yell from the back made all of them startled.

"Umesh why are you not off yet! Stop talking to insignificant kids and get in the car now! Otherwise, you will miss your flight!"

the girl stared at the car while it slowly faded out of her sight till a remark from the woman standing brought her back to reality

"Gayi to gayi! Is musibat ko bojh banakar chali gayi!" (While she went away she left this girl as a burden!)

She stormed off.

The boy looked at the girl "So you are Umesh's sister, huh?" he circled around her.

The girl nodded "and you are?"

"I am his friend! What's your name?"

"Ananya....Ananya Rathore."

"I am Aarav Agarwal. Anyway as you are a bit dull in the head I am forgiving you for the comment earlier" the boy uncrossed his arms.

"By the way is that scary lady your mom?" he asked making faces

"she...she is Mrs.Rathore" she said while lowering her still staring at the road.

He looked at her as if he saw an idiot

"That makes her your mother!"

"I was always told to call her, Mrs.Rathore...and she said she was not my mother"

"So what about your mother?"

Her face darkened as soon as she heard this...her straight face and emotionless eyes were hiding too many things...too many incidents she was forced to witness and too many scars that the world had given her.

"I don't know...why are you trying to pry so much? Let's go and play"

"Alright let's go!" he shrugged his shoulders without giving it much thought.

After sometime that woman came out in the garden while scorning at Aarav and Ananya.

"Ananya! You useless thing! You were supposed to make me tea half an hour earlier right! Why are you playing here huh! Before you were just useless now you have started hanging out with dirty poor brats!"

Aarav looked at Anaya.

"I am sorry... please go back today" Anaya said lowering her head.

Aarav stood infront of her as if trying to shield her from the witch, at least he saw the woman as a witch already.

"You can't hurt her!"

She came and pushed Aarav aside

"Do you even have any idea where you are now!? This is the Rathore mansion! Not any hillbilly can just enter! Get out!"

"Umesh called me here!" Aarav got up from the ground

Ananya noticed the clear red bruise on Aarav's delicate skin. She went and stood between the woman and Aarav.

"Go home now.I won't play anymore.

Mrs.Hiya I am sorry I will go and make tea for you right away"

"She got big hands and legs why should you make tea for her? Pangu h kya?" (Is she a cripple?)

Hiya looked at Aarav as her nose flared with anger. He face turned red as hatred and rage filled her eyes

"You illiterate poor bastard!" she turned to Anaya and slapped her cheek as her pink lips got stained in red.

"And how dare you call me by my name! Haven't I already told you it's Mrs.Rathore you little bitch! Tu ghar me ghus ekbar!" (Enter the house once!)

Aarav's POV

I saw Anaya getting pulled away by that witch woman as I stood there. Ananya slightly smiled at me and mouthed "Go back"

I went home thinking about what I witnessed today

Umesh's sister is the eldest daughter of the so-called Rathore family, and she is treated this way?

I thought...but the scene of her getting slapped by that woman and the way she smiled with the bruised lips and red cheek didn't leave my mind no matter how hard I tried.
