Chapter 4

Continuation (⁠*⁠＾⁠3⁠＾⁠)⁠/⁠～⁠♡

\= Nighttime with the trio \=

"What are we going to eat tonight?" Macie asked looking at the ceiling pondering about life choices while laying on the floor. "How about potato chips and some mini chocolates? We bought a lot earlier, and we still need to save some for the next day" Gia said while counting the food. "Plus the water we need to ration it more than anything else" Aylene said, writing the days left before we leave this place. "Do we have at least one empty bottle? We need that for showering" Macie said looking at Gia and Aylene still laying down. "We actually have two bottles from iced tea because Aylene and I can't throw it inside the 7/11 earlier, the trash is too full today I bet they are too lazy to throw it out." Gia said while thinking about it.

"I still hear them groaning and clattering their teeth from here"Aylene said after finishing writing.

"So how many days are we going to stay here" Macie asked while eating her ration. "Well at least four days? But we need to check if there's a government official update for more assurance, we probably didn't notice they might send people for rescue operations" Aylene said while eating her ration. "Sooooo....Uh guys? As you can't see my phone right now there's actually an update from the government officials that they're going to turn off the power and water resources because of the possible contamination for three days, so that means we wouldn't be able to take a shower in the future...."Gia said with a horrified look on her face.

Both Macie and Aylene cursed after what Gia said, "why didn't you tell us earlier?" Macie said with an irritated look. "Girl don't look at me like that it's not my fault they just updated 1 minute ago while Aylene is talking, here look for yourself, before I plucked those eyes myself" Gia said rolling her eyes with sassiness while handing her phone to Macie and Aylene. "What a classic behavior always late as f*ck" Both Aylene and Macie cursed again to themselves. Gia looks at them while eating as if enjoying the show in front of her. After finishing her food she said to the girls that she's going to take a shower while taking the mini towel and necessity with her. "If you are going to take a shower close the door so no one will notice" Macie said playing on her phone. "Girl I know that, we all learn that after seeing what happened earlier" Gia said still remember that part giving her the shivers and so are the two. "Gia let me join I want to take a shower too" Aylene said scared after what Macie said. "Hey, don't leave me here let me join too, I don't want to be alone(⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)" Macie said she immediately stood up after she said it bringing her necessity with her. "Yep, you know what let's shower together since you guys insisted" Gia said with a sigh.

(And yes there's a bathroom on the second floor of the school they are a bit well-off, I didn't say it in the previous chapter so here's the ideal picture of the second floor front view, the stairs with main gate is on the right side then there are three classrooms in the middle, there are no students here because of the event other than the three who didn't see the school announcement. The bathroom is between the back gate and third classroom, then there's an emergency exit and ladder on the left side of the hallway in the front of the back gate.)

\= Back to the trio showering together \=

"Hooo... That's refreshing~" Gia said smiling like she's in heaven while Aylene and Macie smiled too, even though the water is cold they find it so nostalgic, because they remember when they take a shower preparing for a swimming lesson. They forgot to remember that chaos is still happening around them. "Do you guys want some hot coffee?" Aylene said smiling. "Sur— but we don't have hot water or even sachets of coffee" Macie said while they walked back to the classroom. "Girl, we are prepared✨✨✨" Gia and Aylene said grinning ears to ears.

Aylene took out her big bottle of coffee and Gia prepared her bag and electric hot compress. Aylene puts her bottle in the bag then Gia turns the hot compress on and puts it inside the bag with coffee, they cover it with some clothes then they wait. "Are you sure this would work?" Macie asked questions about what the heck they were doing. "Yeah it usually works since my bottle is metal we started doing this in class while you guys are busy listening and her hot compress is too hot it can warm up the coffee" Aylene said laughingly while Gia is grinning.

\= After preparing the coffee \=

They keep gossiping to each other on what's happening outside, questioning themselves if there's anyone alive. Asking which house they should go to, planning if they should leave the country once everything goes out of the plan. Thinking of any possible thing than overthinker can think. After finishing the coffee they decided to sleep but before that they slowly turn off the aircon to not alert the infected, in this way in case someone or something is trying to go here they will hear it right away.

\= While the trio is sleeping \=

The outside is still in disarray left and right offing people, others trying to find refugee centers that had been destroyed because of the stubborn people who have been bitten all along causing others to meet their ends. Because of not following the protocol, it keeps spreading like a wildfire from cities to provinces, even rich cities can contain them because people are panicking.

\= Back to the XXX School \=

Some people are trying to use the XXX school as a refugee place, a few people tried but failed to do so ending up being a meal or another infected, this all happened in one night Aylene, Gia, and Macie kept waking up because of the scream, but they're just trying to ignore it as much as they can but still can't do it, so they stay up all night.

"We can't even sleep peacefully, this is our first night here in school, and we're still not able to get some peace." Gia said in a low voice while looking at the ceiling. "Same" Macie and Aylene said in a low voice with a tired look on their faces while looking at the ceiling too. "How about we check in social media on what's going on outside while sitting in the hallway? Let's just lower the brightness of our phone then use headphones what do you guys think?" Macie said while sitting up preparing to take her phone. "Okie" Both Aylene and Gia said while getting up too.

They look at the news and other posts of civilians like them trying to survive asking for help and getting eaten and betrayed by their so-called friends. While other strangers use people as toys trying to feed them to the infected if they don't do as they said. They created a crew with a lot of members some of them are criminals, while others are trying to commit a crime to prove themselves to be useful.
