A miracle

Scene 5

“Every morning miracle awaits at the door,

but people can't identify it and ignore.

And wait for someone to make them realize,

The new change is a must as time now runs anticlockwise.”

Everyone was in a rush to enter the campus because, in ten minutes, they would close the entry gate. As a prestigious university, they strictly follow the rules and regulations, even for the students of the elite class. When Nyra was about to enter the campus, suddenly, a car almost hit her.

In anger, she spouted a loud “Don’t you have eyes or what? This is not your father's road, Mr.”

Without realizing that the car was of Caelum, and just ran in fear of the gate closing. As soon as she entered, the gate was about to close, but they had already let the gate open for an extra five minutes, and the gate was still open as Caelum's car had not entered the university.

The gates were open, Caelum's car entered, and Nyra was in shock knowing the fact that it was Caelum whom she shouted at. Caelum got out of the car; his group was waiting at the door of the building, and Nyra was trying to escape.

But Caelum shouted, “Hey girl, wait!” Nyra's reaction was like a cat caught while drinking the milk.

Caelum came behind her and said, “Turn this side, girl”. Nyra slowly turned. Caelum said, “I'm sorry that I almost hit you, but I think I don’t owe you anything, as you had already shouted at me in front of everyone”. While she was regretting it, Caelum smiled and said, “It is true that the road is not of my father, but this university is.” And he walked away with his group.

Everyone was there until Caelum was and dispersed as soon as Caelum went to his class. On her way to class, she was pondering “what a great start to a fight with my crush.”

Smiled and thought, “But it was the first time we interacted, he smiled at me even though I was rude to him, rumors are false about him that he only behaves nicely towards his girlfriends and acts arrogantly towards strangers.”

When she lost her thoughts, she bumped into Revena, and the books in the hands of Revena fell down. They both sat down to collect the books.

Nyra, with a genuine face, said, “I'm so sorry it was my fault, let me help you pick them up.”

Revena said, "It's okay, I can manage that, you carry on with your work."

Nyra insisted and helped her, while this was happening some people passing by were commenting that “he might knowingly collide with her, he knows that if he does this might Nyra talk to her as he always gets ignored by everyone”.

Some others added, "I sometimes think he is a psychopath or what, who goes around walking like that". Some others said, "he is the total nerd of our university."

Nyra was angry on others and shouted “don’t you all have other works then commenting on unknown person while passing by.”

Revena was unaware of what others were saying as her headphones were on,

But Nyra heard it all and felt sorry for her, placed her hand on her hand, and said, "It's okay, I don't feel as they all feel."

Revena didn’t get what Nyra said, but she read the face, nodded, and went towards her class.

Nyra thought, “I had seen him somewhere, I couldn’t get that place,” and went to her class.

On their way to class, Renly said, “Cael, when the gate was about to close, the first-year student saw that they also had the same thing in mind, i.e., because you are the son of the founder of this university, the gate was open for you”.

He laughed and added “it was so funny to hear their conversation and their ignorance of the fact that you made this gate related excuse to your dad to not to attend university that’s why he instructed the administration sector that not to close door before you enter and not start the lecture until you don’t arrive in classroom.”

Alder added, "The students in our classroom are the happiest people in our university because we always arrive late to class.”

Caelum smirked, looked at Della, and said, "You want to say something, dear?”

Della asked, “Ya, what was that, uh, Cael? You smiled at a known girl, and I think I saw her somewhere.”

Caelum replied, “You saw her at our joint lecture with those normal students, she was the one staring at me the entire time, but not looking into my eyes when see her, and I smiled because I know she has a crush on me, she was red when I smiled to her.”

Renly said “so what are you thinking to date her but you don’t a shit to normal student, and never interacted to anyone.”

Caelum replied, "Then let's make her first of mine.”

Alder said, "Then what about Lara, did you guys break up, but we had partied yesterday night together and everything was normal between you too.”

Caelum said, “almost breakup I'm already done with her now she is no fun and I don’t think she can handle my aggression anymore which came out due to father and my debate sometimes.”

Della said, "When are you going to play with that girl? That too, she is in the same year as ours, dude."

Caelum said, “Now I think of that, I should make friends, nothing more I can't handle immature girls in any way.”

When the bell rang for the lunch break, and Nyra was wrapping up the things, it suddenly clicked in her mind where she had seen that boy, in the library. And decided to go there at the end of the lunch break.

Revena likes to spend her free time in the library doing some of the class work and some of the mission work while listening to music, and their very few people who visit the library, which is a separate library for normal students, not a common library. The university in total has three libraries, and the third one is more of a study room with most facilities.

First is the normal student library, second is the common library for both types of students, and the third one of elite student library, which has a card system. During free time, Caelum and his group stay there. Revena always stays in the normal student library as she knows that in the common library, students go to get boyfriends from the elite side, and in the third library, she doesn’t care what the elite students do. But sometimes she goes to the common library due to necessity.

There is a girl in Revena’s class who follows her around and tries to talk to her. They split their ways at the break time, but as they got free time, she followed him to the library and sat with her to study.

Her name is Eira, she is a shy student, doesn't talk to anyone and she is actually from a rich family, he has a twin brother and a pampered child but in high school, she got bullied by rich kids and then she decided to go for normal college but due to her family’s fame her father made her admission in this university but because her mother insisted she was in the normal student section and her brother in the elite side, they both get troll sometimes but never bullied because of their family have political connections with the current government.

Eira follows her everywhere, because Revena got suspicious, she did a background check of her and found these details, which is why she doesn’t stop her from doing this. One day, when the bell rang for lunch break, and Revena put her lunch on the table and went to washroom, in meanwhile some girls were about the spoil her food but Eira tried to stop that due to which she got hurt to as one of them twisted her hand and she got severally injured.

As soon as Revena returned, she grasped the gravity of the situation and blocked the way she was about to hit that girl.

Eira stopped her and whispered in her ear, “Your identity will get revealed, let it be, I'm okay.” The girls ran away and left the two of them in the room.

Revena coldly asked, “How do you know about my identity. Are you keeping an eye on me, or did someone order you to do so?”

Eira got tears in her eyes and said, “I once saw you when our car was late and my brother was chatting with his friends, and no one was around me. I saw you leaving the campus, you took off your mask, hoodie, and were eating a lollipop. And I thought you too got bullied in high school, that’s why you come all covered up.”

Revena smiled, patted her head, and said, “I get it now, stop crying.” She patted her head for a while, and when she calmed down,

Revena said, “It is hard for me to trust people, so we can't be friends.”

Eira looked at her and was about to cry again when seeing that Revena immediately added, “I won't stop you from following me, but I won't be able to eat lunch with you.” Now don’t cry again, I'm not good at this consoling thing.”

Eira smiled, “It's okay, this much would be enough for me.” So, whenever Revena goes to the library, Eira used to go with her.

At the end of the break, Nyra went to the library and found Revena sitting there with a girl.

Without hesitating, she directly went to Revena and said, “Do you know me? I'm the girl from this morning who bumped into you.” Revena found it strange but nodded in response.

Nyra smiled and said, “Great! You remembered me, my name is Nyra, you?”

Revena looked at Eira as she wanted her to buzz off this girl, but she got confused and said, “his name is Reven, and my name is Eira. We are in the 1st year of humanities and public policy.”

Nyra smiled and said, "Okay, but why are you replying to him? Is he not well?"

Eira quickly replied, “he is well, but doesn’t like to talk to a stranger. I also became friend with him recently."

Nyra said, “Now I've got the whole story, but I don’t mind coming here every day so that we won’t be strangers to each other. Now I'm going, I have a lecture now, see ya.”

As soon as Nyra left, Revena looked around and said to Eira, "What was that? Have you ever met her? Why did she suddenly come here and ask my name?”

Eira replied, “I heard that she is popular among students and got transferred recently to this university. I think so, she also wants to be a friend of yours.”

Revena got frustrated and said, “I know why you all suddenly want to be my friend, you all pity me, right, but you know what, I don’t want this all, just leave me alone for god's sake.” And left the library.

Eira got sad and decided not to pester Revena further.

For a few days, she left Revena alone, and if she wanted to talk about something, she just wrote a note, put it on her desk, and waited until Revena replied to the note. One day, the professor asked everyone to submit a project in the group by next Monday. Everyone formed their group and decided on their topic.

On the other hand, Revena thought she didn’t need to put effort into this project, as no group would take me in, and she left the campus early. On the date of project submission, she was ready to give her answer if questioned by the professor. But when the professor announced the names of the students who didn’t submit the project, her name was not there. She was thinking about this all the time, and during the lunch break,

Eira again put a note for her in which it was written, "Don't worry about the marks, I have done excellent work."

When Eira was about to leave the classroom, Revena stopped her and said, “You paired up with me and completed the project; who told you to do so?”

Eira innocently replied, “No one told me to do it, it was me who wanted to do the project as an apology for irritating you all this time.”

Revena took a deep breath and said, “I never asked for an apology, I just meant to say that I’m not the type of person you think, I hold many secrets and have no intention of being friends with you. So just leave it.”

Eira got emotional and said, “Everyone in the world hides something or the other, and there is nothing wrong in doing so, it's their personal choice, to whom they want to reveal it. I know what you think of me, and I'm also aware of the fact that you won't be friends with me. I want a company so someone who doesn’t make fun of me, tease me, and hate me.”

Eira cried and said, “You are that person. I don’t have expectations from you; I will just quietly follow you around. You ignore me, don’t talk to me, and don’t share anything with me. It's okay, but don’t get tired of me and order me to leave, because I don’t want to be alone.”

When Eira said those words, Revena felt guilty and thought she had behaved too rudely towards an innocent girl. I don't care if I even cursed an arrogant person, but it felt wrong how I treated her. Even though I don’t trust her, that doesn’t mean I can hurt her.

Revena said, “Don’t cry on me, and have your break after that, come directly to the library.”

Eira could control herself, hugged her, and said, “Sure, I will. Thank you so much.” When she came to her senses, she immediately backed off and said, “oo, so sorry, you don’t like clingy people, right?

Revena coldly replied, "Ya.”

Eira said, “It was the first and last time, please forgive me, it won't happen next time.” And curiously added, “There will be next time, right?”

Revena smiled, but Eira couldn't see it as Revena was wearing a mask and said, “Ya, now don’t waste my time and don’t roam here and there in any free time, just come to the library, I always sit there.”

And left the class, Eira replied “Yes”, and went for her break.
