The Garden of Silence

Page 10: The Body Reborn

After Megumi’s soul landed in the past, he feared the echo of Sukuna would remain just that—a voice in his mind, a memory carved in sorrow.

But three days after his return, under a blood moon, a pulse of cursed energy cracked the earth behind the old shrine.

Megumi arrived in time to witness it.

A cocoon of energy, raw and burning, split open—and from it stepped a man: tall, inked, powerful. Familiar eyes—crimson and unblinking—locked onto his.

Sukuna stood before him, flesh and blood. Not possessing. Not haunting. Real.

“Miss me?” he asked with that crooked smirk.

Megumi didn’t answer. He just walked up to him and, without hesitation, kissed him—slow and aching. Sukuna’s hands gripped Megumi’s waist as if afraid he might vanish.

That night, they didn’t speak again. They just held each other, tangled beneath old woven blankets, surrounded by flickering candlelight and the scent of wild plum blossoms.

Sukuna, for all his destructive power, built something beautiful.

A hidden garden bloomed behind the estate—a place where cursed energy had twisted flowers into strange but vibrant colors. Thorned roses with black petals. Orchids that glowed under moonlight.

Megumi stood barefoot on the moss, watching Sukuna tend to the strange flora with uncharacteristic care.

“You planted all this?” he asked, stepping closer.

Sukuna glanced over his shoulder. “Needed something to do while you were off playing jujutsu prince.”

Megumi wrapped his arms around him from behind, resting his chin between Sukuna’s shoulders. “You made a home.”

“I made your home.”

They kissed again among the cursed roses, deeper this time. Sukuna’s lips were warm, his breath uneven. He leaned Megumi down into the soft moss, robes falling open.

It wasn’t rushed—it was reverent.

Sukuna worshipped him like a god fallen into his arms. Every kiss to Megumi’s neck, every slow thrust, every whispered praise—You’re mine. You bring me peace. You make me feel.—was a promise.

And when they reached that high together, bodies trembling and hearts open, it wasn’t just lust.

It was surrender.

Afterward, they lay wrapped in each other, limbs tangled, Sukuna’s tattoos glowing faintly in the moonlight.

“I used to dream of killing you,” Megumi murmured, fingers trailing across Sukuna’s chest.

“I used to dream of devouring you,” Sukuna replied lazily.

“And now?”

Sukuna turned toward him, eyes softer than Megumi had ever seen. “Now I want to protect this. Us. Whatever it is.”

Megumi smiled, eyes heavy. “That’s enough for me.”

Outside, the world still turned. Enemies still stirred. Fate still whispered.

But inside their hidden garden, surrounded by twisted beauty and soft candlelight, there was no fear. No duty.

Only love, raw and imperfect, blooming from a curse.
