Episode 4 Ivy

After the formal introduction, our parents gave us some space so that we could talk without feeling awkward and get comfortable with each other. We sit beside each other but with a meter of distance.

Yes, today is my birthday but the celebration will be held next week together with their welcome party and announcement for our company's partnership.

"I'm sorry. My mom didn't tell me before hand that today is your birthday. So I wasn't able to prepare a gift for you."

He said shyly looking very embarassed.

"No. It's ok. I don't mind. You can just double your gift for me next year."

I smiled at him trying to lighten the awkward atmosphere between us.

He really is so cute. And he looks more attractive when he's embarassed and blushes.

'This is so bad for my heart!'

Our moment was broken when one of our maids came in and excused herself to tell me that my friend Icky came.

Icky!

I haven't seen him for almost half a year because he got ill and had to be brought to the U.S.A. for treatment.

My goodness, I miss him so much!

Icky became my friend since the day I saw him at the mall lost and crying alone in a corner seven years ago. He got separated from his mom in the crowd. And I kept him company with my nanny until they found him.

Then from the main entrance of our house, came in a chubby boy with gifts in his arms along with his nanny.

"Icky!"

I was so excited to see him again. He's still chubby and looking well.

I ran to him and hugged him so tight.

A pillow will always come into my mind whenever I do that to him which will always make me smile.

"How are you? Are you alright? Were you cured already? When did you arrive?" I bombard him with questions but still not letting him go.

"I feel so much better now upon seeing you again. But I can't breathe."

"Haha. Sorry. I just got excited seeing you. I missed you a lot, you know."

I let go of him and pinched his chubby and squishy cheeks like I always do. He complains at first but he eventually got used to it.

"I missed you a lot too. That's why I came here right away from the airport to see you."

He spoke with his cheeks still in between my fingers. I grinned.

'Adorable.'

"Aww.. You're so sweet."

"But I can't stay long. I promised my mom that I will go home immediately after giving you my birthday present."

He then hand me a huge and classy paper bag which made me let go of his cheeks.

The present inside made me want to sob.

It's a baby doll!

It looked so cute, cudly, pretty and chubby.

He really knows me so well and he never forgets what could make me happy.

"Do you like it?"

"I love it!"

I hugged it tight. It feels comforting.

He walked towards my mom and dad with another paper bag.

They both opened it and was left in awe.

My mom got her favorite designer bag latest edition and my dad a signed T-shirt from his all time favorite basketball player..

"What a sweet boy. Thank you so much, Icky." My mom's smile is so bright. "By the way, are you well now?"

My mom also pinched his cheek and my dad rub his hair after chanting his thank yous for his dream signature from his idol.

"I am feeling better now aunt. But I can't stay long or my mom will get mad."

"Oh of course. Take care of yourself and get lots of rest ok."

"I will aunt. Thank you.. I should be going now."

He headed for the door and I followed. I walked him towards their car that is parked infront of our gate.

"When will you comeback to play with me?"

I asked still hugging the doll.

"I will come to see you tommorrow." He looked satisfied to see that I like his present.

"That's great! Hmm.. I wonder what name will I give to this doll."

"How about Vicky? You know, Ivy and Icky?" His chubby cheeks turned pink.

'Aww.. Icky is embarassed.'

"Yeah. That sounds perfect!"

But our steps were suddenly halted when someone from our back shouted at us.

We turn at the same time to see a raging Windsor.
