Good to meet you both.
(They barely have time to breathe when…)

NATHAN!!! It's time for training!
Nathaniel (stands up):
Sir, yes sir!
Sgt. Tobichukwu (points at open field):
First, give me 3,000 jumping jacks and 10,000 push-ups. GO!
(Nathan’s eyes widen but he gets to work. The sun burns above him.)
Nathan (panting halfway):
Why is this so harsh?
Sgt. Tobichukwu (stern):
Because this is Nigeria. We're in a civil war. Your people are fighting your people. If you break here, you’ll die there. Keep training!

David (loading weapon):
We going to win, brothers.
Nathan (deep breath):
We will win.

(His right foot bleeds badly. Chima and David drag him back under fire.)
Chima:
Hold on, Nathan! We’re not leaving you here.
David (firing back):
Cover me, cover me!
(They retreat through the smoke, carrying Nathan. Despite their injuries, they don’t give up.)
🛏️ Scene 6 – Field Clinic Tent
(Nathan lies on a stretcher, toe wrapped, his rifle beside him.)
Nathan (tired):
I wanted to die for Nigeria… but not like this.
Chima (bandaged arm):
You didn’t die. That means you’re meant to keep fighting… smarter.
David (sitting beside them):
First wound, first war. Not your last battle.
(They all look out toward the dark jungle, still echoing with gunfire.)
