Where Jungkook shows possessive tendencies, Jennie tries it (and fails), and Taehyung... accidentally drugs himself.
“Group project time!” Professor Seokjin beamed, placing a stack of scrolls on the table like he wasn’t about to destroy ten friendships in one go.
Taehyung blinked at him. “Wait. Dad?”
“Yes?” Jin sang, flipping his shiny hair. “Did I not tell you I’m a substitute professor now?”
Taehyung glanced at Namjoon, who stood proudly beside a display board that said “SCIENCE IS MAGIC WITH RULES!”
“Also my husband is in charge of grading,” Jin added. “No pressure, sweetie!”
“Kill me,” Taehyung muttered, face in his hands.
Namjoon cleared his throat and announced, “Everyone, you’ll work in pairs to brew a Conscious Connection Elixir. It’s very safe. Probably.”
That’s when Professor Jin dropped the bomb.
“Oh! And Taehyung… your partner is Prince Jungkook.”
Taehyung choked.
Jungkook, across the room, blinked once. “What.”
Jennie, who had been casually twirling her hair next to Jungkook’s desk, dropped her comb like it was poisoned. “Excuse me?! That’s clearly a mistake—I always work with Jungkook.”
“I don’t make mistakes,” Jin said, smiling in a way that made Jennie look like she’d swallowed a lemon.
Lisa leaned over to Jennie. “Should we curse them?”
Rosé sipped her enchanted water like a queen. “Too soon. Let’s sabotage instead.”
Later, in the Potions Lab…
Taehyung and Jungkook sat awkwardly across from each other, surrounded by bubbling cauldrons, magical ingredients, and at least three sneaky looks from Jennie.
Taehyung held up a bottle. “So… sleeping rose petals go first?”
“No. If you put that in first, it turns into a sleeping potion,” Jungkook said flatly.
“Oh,” Taehyung muttered. “Oops.”
He had already poured it in.
“Of course,” Jungkook sighed.
The cauldron started steaming pink fog.
Taehyung blinked. “Smells like candy.”
Then he collapsed onto the table.
Jungkook caught him before he face-planted into the cauldron.
“Taehyung!” he hissed. “You idiot, you literally drugged yourself!”
Namjoon poked his head in from the corner. “Ten points for experimentation!”
“Minus ten for poisoning yourself,” Jin added helpfully.
Meanwhile, in Taehyung’s magic sleep dream...
He was floating on a cloud.
Prince Jungkook was beside him.
Feeding him strawberries.
“I think I love you,” Dream Jungkook whispered.
“Same,” Taehyung giggled, hugging a flying cat.
Back in reality…
Taehyung blinked awake and found his head resting in Jungkook’s lap.
Jungkook was stroking his hair.
“You’re awake,” Jungkook said, voice quiet.
Taehyung’s brain went blank. “...Am I dreaming again?”
“No. You just passed out and drooled on my robes.”
“Oh.”
Taehyung sat up, flustered. His cheeks were as red as the fire crystal.
“Why… didn’t you move me?” he asked.
Jungkook shrugged. “You looked peaceful.”
Jennie, who had just entered the lab again, saw the scene—and cracked her crystal stirrer in half.
Lisa gasped. “She’s glitching.”
Rosé smirked. “Get the next phase ready.”
Later that night…
Taehyung returned to his room only to find a gift box on his bed with a note.
“From an admirer,” it read.
Inside was a small charm necklace with a faint glowing red gem.
He tilted his head. “That’s… weirdly sweet.”
Back in the tower, Jungkook sat in his study, staring at the magical screen that showed Taehyung holding the charm.
He narrowed his eyes.
“That’s not his magic,” Jungkook muttered.
“Someone’s trying something…”
His expression darkened.
And for the first time in a long while…
He felt jealous.
