**Chapter five**
“I had a dream. About you. About Eli. It felt real… like a warning.”
Jim’s golden eyes flickered. “He’s dangerous, Elara.”
“Yeah,” she said, stepping inside, “but so are you.”
They sat in silence for a beat before she whispered, “There’s something between you two. Like it’s been going on long before now.”
Jim looked away. “Our fathers. They were enemies.”
*Flashback: 20 Years Ago – Shadowed Forest*
Damon, in wolf form, faced Saltzman under the blood moon. A battle of claws and fangs, fire and spell. They wounded each other—deeply. But both disappeared before the war ended.
Their sons were never meant to meet. But destiny... doesn’t care about rules.
*Back in Present – Eli’s Dorm Room*
Eli stared at the prophecy again. His finger traced the final line:
*"Blood will spill. But only love will end the fight."*
He remembered Elara’s laugh. Jim’s threat. His own trembling hands after their fight.
Eli looked at the mirror and muttered, “Am I the villain... or just cursed?”
Then, suddenly—his phone buzzed.
*Unknown number*: *Meet me by the old chapel. Midnight. Come alone. —Elara*
His fangs glinted as he smiled.
*Scene: Old Chapel – Midnight*
The wind howled through the broken stained glass, casting colored shadows on the dusty floor. Eli stepped into the chapel silently. The ancient vampire runes etched into the walls pulsed faintly at his presence.
He waited.
Then she appeared—*Elara*, stepping out from behind a cracked column, wearing a dark hoodie and clutching a small book.
"You came," she said.
"You summoned me," Eli replied, eyes narrowing.
She tossed him the book. “I found this in the headmaster’s archives. It mentions your bloodline and Jim’s. It says your fight was written centuries ago—but it doesn’t say *how* it ends.”
Eli opened it slowly. His eyes flicked over the symbols. “It’s a Blood Contract,” he murmured. “Whoever wins the final duel… claims both lineages.”
“You don’t want that, do you?” Elara whispered.
He looked up at her, and for a moment, his red eyes softened. “I don’t know what I want anymore.”
*Scene: Damon’s House – Underground Room*
Jim was training—shirtless, sweating, claws out, punching a silver-weighted dummy.
His dad, *Damon*, watched silently. “You fought Saltzman’s boy and lived. Impressive.”
Jim growled, “Barely.”
“You need control. You need focus. If you’re going to protect Elara, you need to be stronger.”
Jim paused. “What if... I don’t want to fight him? What if something bigger’s coming?”
Damon looked away. “There is.”
*Scene: Back to Chapel*
“You’ve changed, Eli,” Elara said. “You could’ve killed Jim. You didn’t.”
Eli stepped closer. “Neither did he. Maybe we’re tired of being what our fathers made us.”
Suddenly, a crack of thunder shook the chapel. A third presence arrived—*a hybrid*, eyes glowing blue and gold.
“I was hoping you two would meet,” he said. “Now let’s see what happens… when love, blood, and destiny mix.”
