"Kiss the Villain to Save the World"

Prologue: "Hi, Host. I Am System 0018"

The world around Shi Yue was always blurry. Floating in an endless sea of colors, he barely registered the strange voice in his head, a whisper in the chaos. His thoughts were sluggish, like they had just awakened from a long, undisturbed sleep. He felt the faintest pull, the sensation of being yanked through something… thick and viscous, like the air itself had weight.

Ding.

A cold, mechanical voice rang through his mind, startling him.

"Host detected. Welcome, Shi Yue. I am System 0018. I have been assigned to guide you through your mission to stabilize worlds."

Shi Yue blinked, his senses still trying to catch up. He opened his mouth to respond but couldn’t find his voice. His body felt heavy, as if it was still tethered to the world he had just left behind, and his surroundings remained blurry and unfocused. Was he still dreaming?

The voice, annoyingly cute, calm and robotic, persisted.

"Your mission will be to enter various worlds, stabilize them, and gain favor with the villain in each world. Foster love between the main protagonists, and ensure the villains' favorability is raises to 100%. Failure to complete your task will result in the collapse of the world you’re in. Please note, you are free to enjoy the rewards of these worlds as you see fit after mission completion. However, your primary task remains world stabilization."

Wait…what?

Shi Yue blinked again. Villains? Relationships? He groaned internally. All he could focus on was the sudden, overwhelming hunger gnawing at him. It had been a while since he had eaten something—anything, really. A strange warmth bubbled up inside him at the thought of food. He didn’t even know where he was or what was happening, but the urge for something delicious was undeniable.

He wanted something sweet. Something that would melt in his mouth. Maybe… chocolate cake? Or maybe dumplings? He didn’t even care at this point. His mind swam with thoughts of food as the system’s words continued to echo in his head.

"Host, do you understand your mission?"

Shi Yue finally managed to focus, forcing his scattered thoughts into something coherent. He couldn’t make sense of most of what the system said, but he was sure of one thing.

"Wait...wait. Let me get this straight," Shi Yue said aloud, even though there was no one there. "You’re telling me that I have to save worlds by making villains fall in love with me, matchmaking the ML and FL, and—oh!—I get to stay in the worlds and eat all the delicious food after?"

The voice in his head paused for a moment before responding, as if processing the words.

"Yes, Host. That is the basic premise of your mission."

Shi Yue nodded, though no one could see him. He wasn’t particularly worried about the 'saving the world' part. In fact, he felt strangely calm about the entire situation. The world-ending threats, the villains, the matchmaking—he could handle that. After all, if food and handsome men were involved, he was pretty sure he could make anything work.

"But let me ask you something," Shi Yue continued, grinning mischievously even though he wasn’t sure if the system could see him. "What exactly do you mean by ‘gaining favor with villains’? Make them fall in love with me?"

"Yes, Host. The task is to increase the villains' favorability and love. Your charm, presence, and actions will be the tools for this task."

Well, that’s a relief. I’m better at making people like me than causing them harm anyway.

Shi Yue’s thoughts were interrupted by another wave of hunger. His stomach growled loudly, reminding him that he hadn’t eaten in... well, he couldn’t remember how long. He tapped his fingers against the invisible surface of his mind, as though trying to grasp something solid.

"So, what about food?" he asked, almost as an afterthought. "I get to eat whatever I want in each world, right?"

"Yes, Host. You may indulge yourself as long as it doesn’t interfere with your mission."

Now we’re talking! Shi Yue grinned, feeling a small sense of excitement. This mission might not be so bad after all. If he had to deal with villains, beautiful people, and save worlds, he’d at least get to savor some of the finest dishes in every world.

The system’s cute voice resumed, more insistent this time.

"Please focus, Host. Your first mission begins immediately. You are to enter the first world."

Shi Yue rubbed his stomach, deciding to indulge in a little fantasy while he still could. He could almost taste the food from the first world already: the crispy roast duck, the delicate steamed buns, and that perfect, fluffy rice pudding... He wasn’t sure which world he would end up in, but as long as it had food, he was willing to take on any mission.

His surroundings began to shift, the colors morphing from blurred streaks into distinct shapes. In the blink of an eye, he was standing in a completely new environment—a bright, modern cityscape with towering buildings and bustling streets.

"World detected. Mission parameters updated. Host will enter the body of the original host, Jiang Min."

His thoughts briefly flickered with confusion as his mind filled with strange, new memories—snippets of a life he hadn’t lived, the emotions of someone he didn’t know, but somehow, he could understand them as if they were his own. His head spun, but it wasn’t unpleasant. It was a reminder that this was the price for taking on a new life, a new identity.

A new mission.

The hunger that gnawed at him shifted to curiosity as he looked around.

"Well, here we go, I guess," he muttered to himself, adjusting to his new surroundings. "Time to figure out what this world has to offer... and maybe find a few handsome men to make my job a little more fun."
