Part 2

As soon as Abigail was dragged away, the surrounding felt the silence not until....

"Hon, you don't have to go that far. Abigail is still a kid, what she did was maybe an accident" Ava spoke sternly and approach Luke with a hug.

"Ava, Abigail is already 13 years old. She's not a child anymore, locking her in her room for more than a week will not kill her...Aside from that, I still have work to finish tomorrow, If you want to ask something, I'll be at my room"

He responded and hugged his wife back before planting a kiss on her forehead as he then pulled out the hug.

"Okay, rest well Honey"

"Mom, now that Abigail is grounded, what are we gonna do next?" Tressia asked while wiping off her tears but was confused when Ava just smirked and face her.

"Patient dear, don't worry too much. Sooner or later we'll be able to get rid of that brat once and for all" Ava respond to her confused daughter.

"But why do we have to get rid of Abigail? She's just a girl Mom, what's so special about her?"

"Hmm, what's so special about Abigail Axelin? well, she owns 70% of her family's wealth. That means, Luke only owns 30% of his ex-wife's wealth. In order to get the all their Family's wealth, we must get rid of Abigail for her not to stand on our way....and about your step-dad, I'm sure that I can pursue him to transfer his wealth to one of you"   Ava explained

"But, can we just poison Abigail or maybe, sent an assasin to kill her? Its not that hard to do it, right mom?"   Tressia asked her mother but Ava just shush her and tapped her head

"No, if we do that. There is a possibility that Luke will get suspicious to us, don't underestimate the Axelin Family. They held one of the highest position in the kingdom, it won't be easy to fool them" She responded

*Meanwhile*

{Abigail's Pov}

Why? why didn't Father believe me? I-i didn't do anything, I was framed. I didn't push Tressia at the stairs, I didn't bully anyone in this house.

M-mom, why did you left? Ever since your gone, Father didn't even dare to look at me in the eyes or even asked me if I'm fine. I can't even remember the last day that we've talked to each other or eat together. Mom, why do you have to leave? We could've been the happiest family in this whole kingdom....

"M-my Lady? Are you okay? Is everything fine in there? Do you need anything? You can tell me. Are you hungry? I can tell the chef to cook food for you"

I heard Anith asked with a worried tone on her voice while knocking on my door.

"No, I-i'm fine Ms. Anith. Thank you for your concern but...I wanted to be alone, for now. I'll just call you if I need anything" I responded sternly

Anith maybe just my personal maid but for me, she's more than that. She is my second mother, she took really good care of me.

Anith is just like Mom sweet, funny and caring, she has everything. She even took care of me when I was sick, and she was there...for me when I was feeling nervous of my first day of school , and even comforted me whenever I'm feeling lonely, and aside from that...I wanted my Father to be like that too, but I think its impossible. He is always busy, always focused on his work, politics, power and his status. He doesn't even have time for me. Not even a minute but I really wanted him to love me and acknowledge me......

"My Lady? I'm sorry to disturb you again but a Prince Jeremy and Princess Diana sent you a letter, I'll just slide it through the door for you to receive"

"O-okay, Thank you Ms. Anith"

I responded and slowly walked towards the door, Anith just slide the letter under as I then picked it up. It was a letter from the palace, from my friends, Princess Janeth and Prince Jeremy. It was written here that they're inviting me to the palace for a tea party.

As far as I remember, it was kind of awkward for our first meeting but we really get along well after that.  Janeth is the same age as mine while Prince Jeremy is one year older, sometimes, Janeth would also ask me to tutor her. She had her own teacher but the Empress would ask me sometimes making me hard to refuse.

Thinking about it lessen my stress, but...I'm still grounded. I don't want to make my father angry again, maybe I'll just write an excuse letter. There is always next time and I knew that they would understand my situation right now.

Many Months has passed by and Abigail's life became a mess. Everyday, her step-sisters would bully her and even accused her for something she's unaware of. But of course, her Father wouldn't pick her side and always scold her and punish her. This made Abigail depressed and wouldn't eat for the whole week, because of that, she lost a lot of weight and her face were so pale. This made everyone worried, the servants who knew about Abigail being bullied wanted to tell her Father but Ava would threatened them making them shut their mouths.

Abigail was once a cheerful and a loving child but now....everything change, Abigail became a cold person. Not being able to show any emotions, Anith was getting more worried for her Lady's health so she tried to convince his Lordship to visit Abigail, even just once but of course. All Luke's answer were always the same, he always say that he'll visit if he had time....

But as months passed by, Abigail was getting weaker and weaker. Also, the news about her got into the Palace. It made Janeth and Jeremy worried, Abigail wasn't able to visit them for the past few months so they wanted to visit her instead ,but Ava would make an excuse that'll stop them from visiting. Her Father would sometimes send a physician to check on Abigail but she refuses to be checked by a doctor so she always reject them.

"Ms. Anith?"

Abigail was standing in the garden when she called for her maid.

"Yes, My lady? You called for me?" Anith respond sternly

"Ms. Anith, can you prepare the carriage for me? Please?" Abigail requested with a smile that formed on her lips.

"B-but My Lady, His Lordship said tha-"

"Please? Don't worry, I just want to have some fresh air. I won't be long outside the Mansion"

Abigail spoke softly making Anith sigh and nod as a respond, Luke didn't give Abigail his permission yet.

"But my lady, you know that you can't hide anything from his Lordship. Anyone who saw you going out from the mansion can report you to your Father, you'll get in trouble again"

"Ms. Anith, your getting worried for no reason. I'm sure that Father will understand besides, its been already a long time since I got out of this mansion. Ever since mom died, Father didn't let me go out except if there is a royal party. He even home schooled me"

"But, what about your Step-mother and Step-sisters? I'm sure that they'll make a ruckus for you to get in huge trouble again, they can made Lie's to your father just for you to get punished" Anith responded but instead of Abigail getting worried, she just chuckled and tapped Anith's head while smiling brightly.

For many months had passed, Abigail must have gotten used to it. Every time she met her step-sisters, she already knew that she would get in trouble again even tho she always tried to avoid them. But, what can Abigail do. Her mother had passed away, Luke was the only family she had in the whole kingdom. Abigail had no choice but to stay in her Fathers side until the end.

But, she thought for herself.....

'I can't live like this, Father may had been protecting me by locking me in this huge mansion but, he doesn't care about me. He only cares about his job and rank, he don't even care if my step-sister or step-mother are bullying me or framing me....He maybe my family but I don't feel like it. He disgusted me, maybe if I'm gone he might be happy or even celebrate it. Maybe if I was not born, he might be free right now'

Abigail just sigh and smiled while holding back her tears, she's hurt but she didn't want to tell anyone.

"Ms. Anith, I can handle every burden they put in me but please, atleast ones can I enjoy myself on what I want to do. I'm just gonna have some fresh air outside this house" She responded, but something doesn't feel right.

Something is strange on Abigail's words, something is telling Anith that something bad will happened if her Ladyship's going outside the mansion. She felt unease and wanted to decline Abigail's orders but her reassuring smile made Anith sigh and bowed her head before leaving her ladyship.

"Well, well, well, its a nice day for you to be here in your garden Abigail. Having fun?"

As soon as Anith left, Abigail heard a voice from behind yet she recognized it immediately.

"Oh, Cristina. Your here, please have a seat" she spoke gently while moving the chair for Cristina to seat...

For Abigail, among her three step-sisters. She felt that Cristina is somehow different. From the beginning, Abigail knew that Cristina was just force by her mother to hate her. It was so disappointing.

The surrounding became quiet for a moment as they can hear the breezing air and the birds chirping. It was getting a little awkward so Abigail decided to break the silence.

"Perhaps, you wanted to tell me something Cristina? We're not gonna stay silent, are we?"

Cristina was stunned when Abigail spoke making her scratch the back of her neck....

"Huh? Oh a-about that, I just wanted to say that...U-umm, actually I was going to say something to you Abi, b-but please keep it a secret. Just for the two of us...Can you promise?" Cristina spoke, not even facing Abigail in the eye.

This made Abigail confused a little but she just nod and gave her a reassuring smile as a respond. It was awkward but she never seen Cristina being slight nervous towards her, this feeling made Abigail lower her guard, it made her think that Cristina want to tell her something and she wanted to keep it a secret. Its obvious for Cristina that her mother didn't know that she came to meet Abigail. She didn't even bring maids to accompany her around.

"I...I-I just want to say to be careful. M-my mother said that she wants to get rid of you because s-she wants to have your mo-mother's wealth..Ahh!~ I-im sorry Abi but I just wanted to warn you... When that time comes, I-im afraid that n-no one can help you....That's all, goodbye"

Abigail could feel that Cristina's hands were shaking as she speaks, it seemed like she really is afraid on getting caught. But, after she spoke, she suddenly ran off. Abigail didn't have time to stop her because of her condition right now...

"When that time comes...Cristina, what you said is true. I have no one by my side when that time comes, but....why does she want to get rid of me if she can just ask me to give my wealth to her? I'm not selfish like any other person" She mumbled to herself...

For Abigail, money?....money is useless, it can't bring the lives of a person, it can't heal the pain that she felt inside her. It can't comfort her. But...this world is not what it seems. This world that we're into is cruel, we live in a world where humanity is just a word found in a dictionary and humans, have become more cruel than the demons.

Isn't it pathetic on how we waste so much time on a certain person but in the end, they proved that they weren't a second of it?

"My lady...the Carriage is ready to go, let's go?" Anith appeared making Abigail smiled and face her.

" Oh, actually Ms. Anith...umm, I just wanted to leave you here. I wanted to be alone some time."

"B-but...My lady, you know its dangero-"

Anith couldn't finish her sentence when Abigail hugged her...

"Thank you...for taking care of me Ms. Anith, I really appreciate everything. I wish I could repay your kindness someday...Now, don't worry about me anymore Ms. Anith, I can handle myself" She whispered before pulling out the hug and walked pass her.

Anith was stunned on what Abigail said but something is really off, its very uncomfortable for her to think about it but what if something bad will happen to Abigail...
