Chapter 4 : When the Storm Blooms

When the Storm Blooms

— tension thickened in air , rainy hues blur the edges of reality. Lightning dances behind window panes, and every line crackles with breathless anticipation.

---

[Scene — Hospital Room, Midnight | Mira’s POV]

(Faint echoes of beeping. Warmth in fingertips. Voices muffled, like underwater. She feels a hand—soft, trembling, familiar.)

Mira (mind stirring, thought-voice, weak):

“...Rihanna…?”

(A surge of light. Panels brighten subtly. Her eyes flutter open—slow, hesitant. Rihanna gasps, tears spilling instantly.)

Rihanna (choking on emotion):

“Mira...! Mira, you’re—! Oh,! god... i knew you’d come back...! I thought_ I thought I have lost you forever ... i _”

Mira [gently hugging her back, in weak voice, smiling]:

I'm not leaving you honey! Not until Iwe grow old and our hairs turn gray...

[Narration – gentle lines, curling like breath on glass]

Her body was weak, a shell long left uninhabited. But her soul—her soul surged like thunder rolling in the distance.

---

[Scene — Dahlia’s estate, war room]

(A heavy mahogany table. Maps scattered. The new crew has gathered. Rain lashes against the windows.)

Blossom (leaning forward, eyes cold):

“She’s awake. And word’s already spreading. The syndicates tied to Mira’s father—General Veys—are moving.”

D.U. (lighting a cigarette with a snap):

“We need to strike before they align. Take back Sector 9. Cut their supply. Starve the beast.”

Evenie (clutching her coat, quietly):

“But what about Mira? She’s not the same anymore. None of us are…”

Dahlia (finally speaks, her voice low, decisive):

“I won’t let Mira become a pawn again. This time… we control the board.”

[Narration – ink smearing like blood across silk]

The war that had been buried beneath love and silence… was surfacing. Dahlia’s world was shaking again.

---

[Scene – Hana’s room | soft candlelight, sound of thunder]

(Hana stares at her reflection, her hand brushing over a bullet scar that never fully healed. Evenie enters quietly.)

Evenie (gently):

“You okay?”

Hana (nods):

“I’m scared, Eve… scared that we’ll break again. That Mira might hate us.”

Evenie (hugs her tightly):

“We loved her. We never betrayed her. That’s the truth we’ll fight with.”

[Narration – calligraphic script dissolving into a petal caught in wind]

In the heart of every storm… is a wound that never healed.

---

[Scene – Mira sitting upright in hospital bed, her hand in Rihanna’s]

(She looks older now. Sharper. Her voice is soft but firm.)

Mira:

“Take me home, Rih. I’ve got things to settle… and people I need to see.”

Rihanna (soft smile, teary):

“Then let’s go write the ending we never got.”

---

[Final Panels – split screen]

Dahlia tightening her gloves, stepping out into the storm with Hana by her side.

Blossom watching from a distance, phone in hand.

Kea—Hana’s mother—meeting someone in a shadowed café, a mysterious folder in hand.

D.U. flipping a coin, whispering to himself:

“Time to pick sides.”

---

[Narration]

Love had returned…

But so had the storm.
