Thuran descended the stairs of the apartment he shared with Sam, surprised to see Riggy intensely focused on uncovering the secrets behind Emily's misery.
"Hey, Riggy," Thuran greeted.
"Yo, what's up?" Riggy replied without looking up.
"Do you ever sleep?" Thuran asked, raising an eyebrow.
Riggy smiled. "Do ghosts sleep?"
Thuran chuckled. "You came to find me for a reason, didn't you?"
Thuran nodded in confirmation . "Yes, You did. But you didn't ask about it anymore. You mentioned You have unfinished work here on earth, that's why You are still here."
"Yes," Riggy confirmed. "Can you tell me what the unfinished work is?"
Thuran asked, curiosity piqued. Riggy dropped the laptop and sat up straight.
"I have a lady who's pregnant with my child," Riggy revealed.
Thuran's eyes widened. "What? You're going to be a father?"
Riggy nodded. "Yes, that's what it is."
"That's great news," Thuran said with a smile.
Riggy's expression turned somber. "Yes, it's great news, but I only realized it after I died."
Thuran's curiosity deepened. "Why? How?"
Riggy's voice was laced with regret. "I denied the pregnancy while I was alive. I didn't want to drag my family into my mess."
Thuran's eyes locked onto Riggy's. "What mess?"
Riggy took a deep breath. "Let me tell you my story."
Riggy's eyes glazed over as he began to recount his past. "I grew up as an orphan, raised by my granny along with my younger sister. She worked hard to provide for us, but I was too scared to take care of myself, let alone my sister."
Thuran listened intently, sensing the darkness that was about to unfold.
"When my granny died, everything fell apart," Riggy continued. "I was forced to take care of my sister on my own, but I was too young and scared. I had to do whatever it took to survive, even if it meant working for the wrong people."
Riggy's voice cracked as he spoke. "I got mixed up with a bad crowd, and they promised me food and shelter for my sister and me. I didn't know any better, so I did what they told me to do. I pushed drugs for them, did odd jobs that I regret. I was a pawn in their game, and I didn't know how to escape."
Thuran's expression was somber. "What kind of work did you do for them?"
Riggy hesitated, the memories painful. "I did whatever they asked me to do. But they eventually killed me when I refused to do one of their tasks."
Thuran's eyes widened. “What task was that?."
Riggy's voice was barely above a whisper. "They gave me a task to kill a girl, which I refused to do. They threatened to kill my sister and my wife, so I took them to a safe place and came back. But they didn't trust me anymore and forced me to drink poison."
Thuran's face was filled with shock and empathy.
Riggy continued, "The lady I impregnated was someone I met during my dealings. I didn't mean to get her pregnant, but it happened. I denied the pregnancy, but I wanted to protect her and my sister."
Thuran nodded understandingly. "Now, how can I help you?"
Riggy raised a finger. "One, I want those bad guys to face the consequences of their actions."
Thuran look confuse “But as a ghost you have the power to do that yourself, don’t you?”
“Yeah, I’m suppose to but the grim reaper Said I don’t have the chance to take revenge on them myself, that why I look for you” Riggy reply then he continue "Two, I want my sister to know where I was buried, since I was just thrown into a bush."
Thuran's eyes widened in shock. "You mean you're not properly buried?"
Riggy nodded. "Yes. And the last thing is, I want to see my unborn child before I leave."
Just as Riggy finished his story, a voice interrupted the conversation. "Then let's get the first one done. Let's go catch the bad guys."
Thuran turned around, shocked to see Sam standing behind him. "How did you know what we were talking about?"
