“How He Got To See Ghost”

Sam sat in the college restaurant, focused on his laptop until a pen began to move on its own, writing "Hi Sam" in bold letters. Sam's eyes widened in shock as he looked around, wondering who was playing a prank on him.

The pen continued to write, "Oh, sorry for scaring you. I just thought this was the only way to communicate with you since you can't see or hear me." Sam's eyes scanned the message, and he tried to compose himself.

"Who are you?" Sam said trying to play it cool.

"I'm Emily. I'm the one who got into an accident recently," the pen wrote back.

Sam's curiosity was piqued. "Sorry to hear that. Notice Thuran was speaking with two different ghosts earlier. Which one are you?"

"The Female ," the pen replied. "And I appreciate your concern."

Sam smiled. "Ohh......You have great handwriting, by the way."

Emily's response was accompanied by a digital smile which Sam could not see. "Thanks."

As they chatted, Emily write, "By the way, where's Thuran?"

"He's in class," Sam reply. "That means we've been in the same class all along, and I didn't even know him." Emily write back

Sam raised an eyebrow. "That's weird. You're the first person I've met who doesn't know Thuran. He's pretty famous around here."

Emily's response was prompt. "Famous?"

Sam nodded. "Yeah, we've been friends since we were five. I wouldn't call him a friend, though – more like a brother."

Emily's question followed quickly. " So do you happen to know how he got to see ghosts?"

Sam hesitated, then began to speak . "He started seeing ghosts when he was seven. We were at a park having fun with our parents when he saw a stray cat. He loves animals, so he started playing with it and chasing it into the woods."

As Sam continued his story, he became engrossed in the narrative. He sipped his coffee and put on his headset to avoid drawing attention to himself So people won’t find him weird talking to himself

"We searched everywhere for him, but couldn't find him until it got dark. Then we found him lifeless on the ground inside the thick forest. He was in the hospital for a while, and that's when he started seeing ghosts."

Sam's fingers flew across the keyboard. "At first, his parents thought it was just a phase, but it didn't go away. He would cry every time he saw a ghost. Then one day, we were both in his room playing with toys then suddenly he started saying “a ghost is here, a ghost is here”. At first I thought he was trying to scare me, then he saw his granny's ghost enter through the door then he called “Granny”. I shouted at him saying, why on hell will your Granny’s die suddenly his mom enter to tell him Granny passed away. That's when I realized he could really see ghosts. I was scared out of wit"

Emily's response was filled with empathy. "Wow, that's a lot for him to handle."

Sam nodded. "Yeah, he's been through a lot. And no one knows what happened to him in that forest that made him start seeing ghosts."

Just then, Sam felt a pat on his back. He turned to see Thuran, who smiled and took off Sam's headset. "Hey, done with class?"

Sam nodded. "Yeah. Hi, Emily."

Emily's digital response was warm. "Hi."

Thuran smiled, noticing the jotter. "You've been chatting with Sam, I see."

Sam showed him the jotter, and Thuran's eyes scanned the pages. "You've already learned a lot about me," Thuran said with a smile.

Riggy's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Guys, I found something about the accident. It wasn't an accident after all. The truck that hit Emily's car had been tampered with. Someone deliberately caused the brake failure."

Thuran's eyes narrowed. "What? That's serious. Who could have done that"

Riggy nodded. "I'm still investigating, but I found a suspicious message on the dark web. It seems someone was hired to sabotage Emily's car."

Emily's digital response was filled with shock. "Who would do such a thing? And why?"

Sam could not tell what was going on anymore as he keep staring at Thuran as he look shocked and worried, Thuran see the concerns on him and tell what Riggy just found out “Then that changes everything, we need to get to bottom of this”

Thuran determination was evident. "We'll find out who did this and why. Riggy, keep digging. Sam, let's talk to the police about this.”

“Not now, we can’t involve the police now.” Sam reply

“Emily, can you think of anyone who might want to hurt you?" Thuran ask
