📺 Grind With Jordan

🟣 Episode 2: “Skinny Tears, Strong Heart”

📅 December 1992 – Age 6

The house was quiet that winter evening. Snow fell gently outside the windows. Inside, little Jordan sat on the living room floor with a blanket around his shoulders, eyes glued to the news on TV.

📺 “Today, the world mourns the loss of wrestling legend Andre the Giant, who passed away in his sleep at age 46...”

Jordan’s jaw dropped.

His tiny hands covered his mouth.

Tears filled his eyes.

“No… not Andre…” he whispered, voice trembling.

He remembered that night in 1990 — the night he swore to be strong, after watching Andre vs. Hogan.

He cried. Hard. 😢

His sister Tiana (now 10) walked in, saw him sobbing, and immediately ran to get their parents.

Malcolm knelt beside him. “Son, I know it hurts. He was your hero, wasn’t he?”

Jordan nodded silently.

Rosa kissed his head gently. “It’s okay to cry, baby. But legends like Andre… they never truly die. They live on in the hearts of people like you.”

Marcus, only 2 years old, toddled in, clapping and giggling, unaware of the sadness.

The family hugged Jordan as he wept.

That night, he placed a drawing of Andre under his pillow and whispered:

“I’ll be strong for you. I promise.”

🏫 1998 – Age 12

St. Michael’s Catholic School

Jordan walked through the schoolyard — skinny, hunched, and quiet.

He barely weighed 48 pounds, bones sticking out, arms like noodles. His uniform looked like it belonged to someone else.

Every hallway… every class… someone had something to say.

🎯 “Bro, you’re 12 and still look like a stick figure.”

🎯 “Wind could blow you away, Jordan.”

🎯 “You even eat, bruh?”

He never responded. But every word hit like a brick.

Every night, he went home and cried into his pillow.

Rosa noticed.

Tiana (now 16) noticed.

Even Marcus, now 8, asked, “Why does Jordan look sad every day?”

Then… something beautiful happened.

👶 A New Light — Jasmine is Born

That fall, Rosa became pregnant again, surprising everyone.

In November 1998, she gave birth to a baby girl: Jasmine Cole. 💕

Jordan held her tiny hand for the first time, and something inside him changed.

“She’s so small… like me,” he whispered.

Rosa smiled. “But she’s strong. Just like her big brother.”

Jordan smiled, for the first time in weeks.

🎉 Jasmine Walks – 2000

It was a sunny Saturday morning. Jasmine, now 2 years old, had been crawling for months.

Suddenly, she stood.

Wobbled.

Took one shaky step. Then another.

Jordan gasped. “Bro… this is a miracle.”

Marcus: “Miracle indeed!”

Tiana, now 18, ran through the hall: “Mom! Dad! Jasmine did it!”

Malcolm jumped up: “YES! She finally walked!”

Rosa spun in the kitchen, shouting, “O yea, yea! Go Jasmine!” and broke into a joyful dance.

Everyone laughed and clapped as Jasmine toddled across the room.

She reached out for Jordan… and smiled.

He lifted her up.

And for the first time, Jordan didn’t feel weak.

He felt like a big brother. Like a protector. Like a fighter.
