Chapter 1

I opened my eyes and dragged myself into a sitting position. The world seems to go upside down.

" Raven you're awake! "

There was a blonde besides me. Who is she? And who is this Raven ? There's no one else besides the both of us. Did she mean me?

"umm.... Who are you? "

She looked shocked.

"Raven , don't you remember me? I'm your friend remember? Clarisse? "

Okay now I'm sure that she is mistook me for some one else.

"Clarisse I'm sorry but I'm not Raven .I'm Katherine . Katherine Hathor. "

She looked confused but just nodded and left the room . Something about her attitude told me that she isn't convinced . For all I know she thinks I'm nuts, because after a while I overheard her conversation with the doctor. She asked whether the poison affected my memories.

Maybe this 'Raven' character looks like me. But poisoned ? Did he poison me before throwing me down the cliff? If so why am I still alive?

I'm not sure that I'm not nuts. Everything is bizarre. May be I'm just dreaming . May be Huntley never tried to kill me ,all of it is some stupid dream.

Then someone - probably a nurse - shot something into my arm, and I blacked out.

" Hey look here " who's talking? I looked around me. There was a shadow......of a girl.. wait... No shadows of two girls . But there was no sign of anyone else.I must've imagined it. I'm standing... no floating...in a dark place... but the shadows are darker. I don't know how's there a shadow without light. or how I'm seeing it. It's all bizarre.

"This must be a dream"

I told myself. Unexpectedly I got a response. "yes this is a dream. "

"who are you? "

"who am I?... Now that isn't important, is it? At least not someone who doesn't know who she is ."

"I know who I am "

"you do? "a high pitched laugh echoed around me "Dear.. then why don't you do me a favor and explain it to me? "

I get a feeling that she is playing with me. But still what options do I have?

"I.. I.. I'm Katherine .Katherine Hathor. "

"Is that what you are calling yourself now? what about Raven? Raven Wynterbloom?"

"Ma'am I swear I'm Katherine. You're all mistaken... I'm not Raven. "

"But.... you said I'm Raven........"

"Child I never said you are Raven. I was merely stating the fact that names doesn't actually matter. You are Katherine_ yes _but you are also Raven.."

"What? how can I be two people at once? "

"Child do you want me to continue explaining or not? "

"yes "

"Then stop interrupting. Now where was I?Ah

yes.. you are Katherine but the body which contained her soul is no more usable. So I supposed one could say Katherine is dead.. "

"I am dead??? "

"No you are not.Do you want me to continue?"

"yeah "

"so even though the body was destroyed , the soul ~ which is you~Chose another body which was also facing death ~ that's is Raven's ~ and continues to live . So now you have Raven's body. Any questions?"

This really feels like a science lecture.

"Yes does everyone get a second chance like this? Would this happen again if I die again? Were did the actual Raven go?..."

"One question at a time. So.. no not everyone gets a second chance. And as for your second question I'm really not sure. It will depend on time and purpose and my Master's mood.. "

"Your Master's mood? who's he? "

"That you shouldn't know. Now as for were actual Raven went you shouldn't know it either you would when you are there. Any other questions? "

"Why ' I 'did get a second chance ?"

"Because you had a.. thing that made you something else I can't say more about it but keep this in mind. Find that thing and you will get more answers. "

"How can I find it if I don't know what it is? "

"You had it before. It's one of a kind. And you will know when you see it. "

"where is it now?"

"That I don't know.Only you know where it was and depending on it the location may or may not have changed. Now remember no one else knows about this so act like Raven. Hope you make it. Bye "

"wait.. "

"I have more questions "

There wasn't a sound. Maybe whoever had spoken might have left by now.
