the novices were progressing in their training with kim park-so. each of the novices passed through rigorous training and circumstances. afterwards, kim park-so chose his one and only apprentice, and surprisingly ,it was cho-wonhwa . everyone was shocked and surprised, including cho-wonhwa herself couldn't believe it. the rest were sent to seongyran to properly train to become elite warriors. 'Why did you choose me???' cho-wonhwa questioned curiously. 'it doesn't matter. Now you have a heavy task ahead of you as the apprentice of the noble kim dynasty' kim park-so replied in a serious tone. kim park-so trained cho-wonhwa on how to fight while controlling her body, but cho-wonhwa was quite a bad fighter. kim park-so had to regulate the kind of food she ate in order to loosen her weight. it took kim park-so three months and seven days to train cho-wonhwa properly like an elite warrior, although he exclaimed that judging by how much of a bad fighter she was, she was able to learn quickly unlike a normal mediocre. gradually kim park-so got attached to cho-wonhwa which his other siblings , kim su-yeon and kim hwa-young observed closely. there was an upcoming tournament that would involve different apprentices from different places to showcase their battle prowess and talent in mystic arts. cho-wonhwa had to undergo a series of rigorous training and much more lighter diets in order to be more fit and able. kim su-yeon, seeing how much cho-wonhwa was really training, decided to give her the moghrein manuscript , a unique and special collection of books with more hidden and indebth battle strategies and fighting techniques which was one of the secrets to the Kim's outstanding intellect and skills. cho-wonhwa had to study this book and understand how to improve her fighting skills and techniques. it was the day of the tournament, so cho-wonhwa was dressed on a warrior robe. during the tournament, kim park-so saw a lot of fighting talents that he feared would rival or parallel that of cho-wonhwa. when it reached the turn of cho-wonhwa, kim park-so took a deep breath. when the fight began, the other opponent was already winning cho-wonhwa until she regained her battle sense and stayed calm as all the information from the moghrein manuscript streamed through her memory. cho-wonhwa began to use fighting techniques that kim park-so even marvelled and got surprised seeing it and it looked so familiar to the kim talents. cho-wonhwa began to utilise her qi immensely, and upon her final strike, she released immense energy that rendered her opponent powerless, and she became the Victor. kim park-so was so proud of cho-wonhwa, although he didn't show his amazement . 'You did well today, and I hope this won't make you slag more' kim park-so spoke as he left with a side smile on his face. kim park-so and cho-wonhwa were going to travel to the kanchi fortress isolated in a remote area close to the mountain to explore a little.
