Time Travel Into the Beast World " the Beast's Chosen "

Chapter 1: A World of Fur and Fury

Shaine sat up, her heart still pounding against her ribs. The wolf's words echoed in her mind: "You are in the Beast World, little one. Welcome to our home."

Home? This place felt anything but welcoming. She tried to rise, but her legs felt wobbly, as if she'd been asleep for a week straight. The forest shadows seemed to press in around her, as if the very trees themselves were judging her.

She wasn't exactly sure how she'd gotten here, but she knew it had something to do with the man she'd been trying to save. He'd been in terrible shape, his heart failing, his breaths shallow. She'd tried everything she could think of, but nothing seemed to work. Then, a sudden, searing pain ripped through her chest, and everything went black.

Now she was here, surrounded by strange, luminescent trees and the sound of birds that sang songs of power. She was afraid, alone, and had no idea how to get back to her own world.

With trembling fingers, Shaine reached for a hand mirror she always kept in her pocket. She was used to seeing herself reflected as a confident doctor, her sleek, dark hair pulled back in a tight bun, her face framed by glasses. But in the dim light of the forest, she saw a stranger. Her hair, normally pulled back tightly, was loose, flowing around her shoulders like a black waterfall. Her face was pale, her features sharper than usual. She looked...different in this world.

"What else is different?" she whispered to herself, her voice echoing strangely in the still air.

She could hear the faint sound of rustling leaves, and a shiver crept down her spine. She was vulnerable, exposed. She was still a doctor, and she needed to be resourceful, to figure out what was happening.

Taking a deep breath, Shaine stood up, pulling the fabric of her lab coat tight around her. She needed to get her bearings. She needed to find a place where she could figure out what was going on.

As she pushed her way through the dense undergrowth, her senses were bombarded with new sensations. The air was warm and humid, heavy with the scent of pine and something else, something wild and pungent. The forest hummed with an energy she’d never experienced before.

Suddenly, she heard a new sound—a low growl that made her blood run cold. It wasn't like the growls of a dog she’d heard in her own world. This was deeper, more guttural, a sound that resonated with primal power.

Shaine froze, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that she was being watched, and her instincts screamed at her to run.

She crept forward, her eyes darting from side to side, trying to catch a glimpse of the creature that was stalking her. The forest seemed to close in around her, and the air thickened with an almost tangible sense of dread.

She suddenly stumbled, her foot catching on a root. She crashed to the ground, bruising her arm and her ego. She scrambled to her feet, her eyes searching frantically for the source of the growl.

There, in the shadows of a massive oak tree, she saw it.

It was a wolf, a giant, magnificent beast with fur as black as night and eyes that glowed like molten gold. It stood tall, its muscles rippling beneath its thick coat, its teeth bared in a warning snarl. It was a creature that embodied the very word "fierce.”

A cold fear gripped Shaine. This was not the kind of world where a doctor with a stethoscope and a smile belonged. This was a world of teeth and claws, a world where danger lurked around every corner. Yet, even as fear tightened its grip on her heart, a spark of defiance flickered within. She wasn't going to be broken by this world. She wasn't going to give in to fear. She had to find a way to survive. She had to find a way back home.

“It seems you are not as helpless as you appear, little one,” the wolf said, its voice a deep rumble that seemed to vibrate through the ground.

Shaine stared back at it, her heart pounding like a drum in her chest. This was a world beyond her wildest dreams, a world filled with magic and danger. But it was her new reality, and she was going to have to find a way to make sense of it. She was going to have to figure out what, if anything, her destiny was in this wild, and sometimes terrifying, new world.
