The clock struck midnight...
In the neon cityscape of HT CITY, people were still awake... Cars, still roared in the roads...
In a dimly lit apartment, in one of the tallest building, keyboard clacking were heard...

He had her cornered.

Her breath hitched.
He was too close.
Too intoxicating.
The office lights behind him glowed low and golden, throwing half his face into shadow, the other into something feral. His tie hung loose around his neck like a noose he hadn’t yet decided to tighten—or share.
“I wasn’t giving you orders,” she managed, proud that her voice didn’t shake. Much.
He leaned closer. Her back pressed against the window, glass biting her spine. She could see the city behind him—tiny lights blinking like warning signs. One wrong move and she’d fall.
But oh, she wanted to fall.

Then his mouth was on hers—hungry, rough, a kiss that tasted like punishment and promise. She clutched at his shirt, dragging him closer, gasping as he lifted her with ease and placed her atop the desk. Papers scattered. Control shattered.
Her legs wrapped around him on instinct.
He kissed like a man making up for lost time—and God, she let him.
“You’re playing a dangerous game,” she whispered, trying not to lose herself.
“Sweetheart,” he growled against her skin, “I built the damn game. And you just broke the rules.”
