Accident Or Murder

Aditya Vats was no ordinary teenager. At just 17 years old, he had the looks of a movie star and the lifestyle of a billionaire. Pulling up to his company headquarters in a sleek BMW, he stepped out as the chauffeur respectfully opened the door for him. The moment he entered the building, the entire atmosphere shifted.

"Good morning, sir," greeted the employees—especially the young women, who couldn't help but admire him.

"Good morning," Aditya replied with a calm confidence, walking toward the elevator.

Behind him, some of the girls whispered, “Can you believe he’s our boss? So young and so handsome!”

Indeed, Aditya was only 17. The empire he now owned had been built from the ground up by his late grandfather—whom he affectionately called “Dad.” The company had risen to towering heights over the years. Before his passing, Aditya’s grandfather transferred ownership to him, without even informing his own daughter, Aditya’s mother.

His will included one strict instruction: when his eldest grandson turned 16, only then should the truth be revealed. Until then, the business was to be managed by his brother—Shekhar.

And so, Aditya had become a millionaire overnight, unbeknownst to even his closest family.

As the elevator reached the 24th floor, Aditya stepped into his modern office and noticed a familiar face waiting inside.

“Shekhar Uncle,” Aditya greeted. “I went through the file you sent me. I don’t think we should partner with that company. They’ve been involved in multiple lawsuits recently and have scammed several others.”

Shekhar nodded, impressed. “You’re absolutely right, Aditya. That’s exactly why I sent the file—to see if you would come to the same conclusion.”

Shekhar was the same uncle who had faithfully run the company for years. He admired Aditya’s sharp thinking and never dismissed his opinions.

After some brief business discussion, Shekhar smiled and reminded him, “Don’t forget, you need to leave early today—it’s your birthday!”

Aditya chuckled. “Thank you for reminding me, Uncle. Mom would’ve killed me if I forgot!”

“Happy birthday, son. Seventeen today! Now go, and don’t forget to bring the cake.”

“Yes, Uncle!” Aditya said as he left the office and slipped into his car, thoughts racing through his head.

“Today is May 9th. I’m officially 17 now. According to Dad’s will, I can finally tell Mom and the family that we’re not middle class—we’re rich.”

He smiled to himself.

“She’s going to be so happy to learn how much her father planned for me.”

Just then, his phone rang. It was his mom.

“Adi, where are you?” she said, clearly annoyed. “I told you to come home early from coaching, and it’s already 8 PM!”

Aditya softened his voice and joked, “Sorry, Mom! I’m just a little late... haven’t even been born yet! Haha, kidding.”

“Come home soon—and don’t forget the cake!” she replied.

“Got it!” he said and ended the call, driving peacefully.

Soon after, a message popped up on his phone. It was from “Dad.”

“We have a surprise for you. Come to this location—____.”

Aditya raised an eyebrow.

“Strange... I just spoke to Mom, and she didn’t mention any surprise. But if Dad says so, I guess I should go.”

He turned the car smoothly toward the address. A few moments later, the message disappeared from his chat—deleted automatically. But Aditya didn’t notice. He was enjoying the drive. He loved luxury cars and had driven almost every model over the past year.

Eventually, he reached the spot.

As he stepped out of his BMW, someone struck him on the head with a heavy iron rod. Everything went black.

Two hours later...

Police knocked at his house's front door. When his mother opened it, they delivered the news:

“There’s been an accident. Aditya’s car was found submerged in the Yamuna River.”
